Founded by Gavin Checkley and Claire Hollis in 2013, No. 3a is Aston Fields’ hottest neighbourhood bar and eatery. Whether its their freshly-ground specialist coffee to start your morning, an afternoon brunch, or a night-time tipple, 3a has just about everything you need, whether its “five ‘o’ clock somewhere” or eight in the evening.
Putting food and drink aside for a second, it’d be criminal not to mention 3a’s beautiful, rustic interior, decorated with stunning greenery, bespoke pieces of artwork, and cosy lighting. Or, if you’re looking for an Aperol Spritz in the sun, their gorgeous outdoor seating area is perfect for a summer’s afternoon. (And winter, we should add. Their outdoor heaters will help you make you forget the cold weather as you sip on a night-time Merlot.)
If exquisite espresso martinis and banging breakfasts aren’t enough to whet your appetite, though, 3a also hosts regular events, perfect for date nights or pre-drinking before a big evening out. From monthly live music sessions to regular comedy nights, 3a is an ideal spot to chill with friends, family, and romantic partners.
Anyway, back to the food and drink. For breakfast, the ‘No. 3a Mc Nuffin’, is ideal both to get you started when freshfaced on a Monday or to redeem you from Friday night’s sins on a hangover. Two Lashford’s pork sausages, a succulent sage and black pepper beef patty, one free ranged egg and a slice of American-style cheese, all wrapped up in a toasted English muffin. What’s not to love, really? Or, if you’re watching the waistline, their avocado smash is loaded with fresh tomatoes, super seeds, and a sprinkling of feta atop sourdough toast.
For lunch, the No. 3a burrito is a personal favourite. Juicy chicken breast, roasted peppers, avocado, and cheddar cheese, all wrapped up in a toasted tortilla. (Their vegan version contains sweet potato falafel, garlic hummus, roasted peppers and watercress). Or, if you fancy something lighter, why not try their kale and romaine caesar salad?
And let’s not forget dinner. Between five and nine in the evenings on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, you’ll find Claire whipping up a storm in the kitchen. A Greek storm, that is. 3a’s Mediterranean menu contains plenty of delicious dishes to sink your teeth into. To start, their Greek olives and loaded garlic hummus breads are the perfect way to prepare your stomach for the delights that await you. The Greek Burger, featuring a lamb and ricotta patty sandwiched between two toasted brioche buns, will tantalise your tastebuds and satisfy those diet-busting cravings. Or, if you prefer your burgers in wrap form (meaning, I guess, that they’re not burgers - but forget about the specifics for a second), 3a’s take on the classic Greek gyros can be rammed full with either chicken or halloumi, as well as fresh salad and perfectly seasoned fries. Now, we haven’t got enough space on the page to walk you through every single item of beautifully-prepared food on 3a’s menu, but you get the gist. And that’s not to mention their dazzling selection of stunning sides, blondies, brownies, and just about everything you could possibly ask for on your list of weekend treats.
Speaking of the weekend, did somebody say beer? Actually, it was me. 3a boasts a selection of delectable tipples, from draught Corona, Camden Hells, and Asahi, as well as a range of handmade cocktails, wines, spirits, and, before you ask, yesthey also do Baby Guiness.

Whatever the weather, 3a and its welcoming staff has you covered. Be it a social outing, birthday party, or simply an afternoon working from your laptop, Aston Fields’ hottest bar and eatery will never let you down. So be sure to pop down for a coffee, pint, or wholesome meal when you can. (Oh, and tell them I sent you.)
