The Amanzi kettle is inspired by the unique style of the Alessi company but designed to incorporate an African feel/aesthetic.
Our brief was to explore what designing for Alessi in an African context means. My approach was to incorporate natural wood with their signature sleek stainless steel. The design also hints at the iconic shape of the ostrich egg that has a significant history in Africa as an important source of nutrition and storage.
