AlternativEd The non-governmental organization was founded in 2012.

Its aim is the implementation of informal educational projects in the spare time.

The organization’s activities involve children, teens, adults and old people. Over 300 children were involved, in 2017, in activities organized by AlternativEd: Summer School, The National Day of The Book, The ”Story Flavoured Evenings”, Shoebox, ”Grandparents Have Talent”, The Reading Marathon “Just One More Chapter ” and many others.

It is also involved in special events for children with disabilities.

Spiritual growth in the faith of children What does this mean?

Through various activities, they try to bring children and teenagers closer to God. How do they do this?

They go together, with a few members of the Church, to the churches in the close villages and for an hour have activities for children in that place. Their activities consist of: games (educational, entertainment), biblical lessons, singing about God, crafts and various competitions.

Special events: IN SUMMER: During summer holidays, they organize a camp, where children, from all the places the members of the association have been during the school year, participate. The activities are similar to those mentioned above, but besides that, they go on various hikings and organise sports championships.

IN WINTER: During Christmas, children learn carols and play Christmas skits, which they present to their parents and people in the church. At that time, we raise funds to give each child a gift.

Interact is an international volunteering organisatiom that brings together young people with ages between 12-18 to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self.

What’s involved?

Interact clubs organize at least two projects every year, one that helps their school or community and one that promotes international understanding.

Rotary club sponsors mentor and guide Interactors as they carry out projects and develop leadership skills.

This year they had projects like ”Run for a reason”, ”Plant a tree”, ”Today you give”, ”Outdoor movie”, and many more.

Little people is a psychosocial support program for children and teenagers. In the year 1996, members of the Association started their activity for the purpose of creating a high-quality standard in the psychosocial interventions provided to children and young people with cancer and their families .The success and uniqueness of this program lies in the fact that it runs DAILY, from Monday to Sunday.

The consistency in the way the Little People Association implemented each therapeutic activity, focused on the needs of each patient in particular, produced significant results in the various aspects of fighting the disease. Moreover, it bring courage and hope to their spirits and, helps creating a comfortable environment where the sick children could feel that they’re just like everyone else their age, by having access to fun activities and games.

Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement The main attributions of the Romanian Red Cross Society are:  to act in the event of armed conflict and in peacetime to prepare and act as ancillary to the public authorities;  contribute to improving health, preventing illness and alleviating suffering through self-help programs for the benefit of the community;  to promote the participation of children and young people in specific activities;  to organize and participate in international actions to assist victims, regardless of the causes and nature of the disasters;  to make known to the public opinion, especially to children and youth, its actions, as well as those of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, as well as the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross, the ideals of peace, respect and understanding between all people and all people;  to conclude collaborative conventions and to draw up joint action programs with other humanitarian organizations or associations;  to participate, on the basis of programs initiated by the Ministry of Health, to recruit blood donors, to fight epidemics.
