The New Year is upon us which brings a great opportunity to reflect on 2017 while thinking about all that is to come in W Di ! 2018! The Aging & Disability Resource Center has much to I !! be proud of in 2017 but the stand out accomplishment was, without a doubt, the transition to and development of our own central kitchen located in Fall Creek. I think it goes without saying that serving over 300 meals every single day to every corner of Eau Claire County is an impressive feat in and of itself. If you think about it, what other programs are able to deliver a hot meal, in person, to over 300 homes throughout 645 square miles within an hour timespan? That alone is worth celebrating! We are so excited to be preparing all of our own meals, from scratch, out of the kitchen in Fall Creek. Of course with any big transition, there are bumps along the way. It has been amazing to be a part of this transition and, all things consider, has gone smoother than anyone expected that it would. That is entirely because of our phenomenal staff, board members, community partners and volunteers. We couldn’t have done this without you. THANK YOU!!!! Our focus in 2017 was simply to get through this transition. Now, our focus in 2018 is fine tuning so we can be as efficient and effective as possible. To all our recipients of Meals on Wheels and the diners that join us at any of the meal sites, thank you for your patience through this process.
