a special site
If, on each new construction site, regardless of its scale, the quality requirement must be raised to the highest level, the construction of the new district reclaimed from the sea goes far beyond anything that can be seen on any other job site. A watchword: zero tolerance on quality.
Thus, for example, throughout the entire construction phase, a huge constraint has been in force: the site must remain clean and in order. You only have to observe this six-hectare platform from the air to understand to what extent this requirement is perfectly respected. On a job site of this size, such an imperative may, at first glance, seem to constitute a major constraint. It quickly became necessary to allow everyone to accomplish their mission effectively, and at the same time it allows high levels of safety and well-being of workers which have rarely been achieved before. And all the more so since, given the size of the project, a large number of trades, companies and players must contribute simultaneously to the smooth running of the many worksites. This also generates exceptional planning challenges.

On Le Renzo alone in October 2022, more than 300 people from around ten trades worked simultaneously. Hence the need for regular so-called interface meetings, an essential link between the various trades in order to allow everyone to coordinate and be as efficient as possible.
The quality requirement for this vast Mareterra operation is also reflected in permanent quality controls, which are also guided by “zero tolerance”. This is how, for each task carried out, this quality control, which can make it possible to validate the transition to the next stage, is carried out.
Each has its defined, precise and ordered role especially during this phase when many finishing trades are involved simultaneously. But also, everyone involved is proud to participate in a project of this scale, an object of the attention of observers from all over the world, in particular for its highly technical and innovative dimension.
