The mood in the geo-political world seems to be back-peddling against globalization. Th e current administration in the White House together with Brexit – referendum vote do NOT augur well for global issues. Th eir mantra is “America First” for the former and “Britain for the British” for the latter. Th ese two countries are not in favour of globalization and immigration. Without immigration and free movement of persons and ideas, there can be no globalization. Such an attitude limits global and ethical citizenry, but not all is lost. At Uzima, we are geared towards global and ethical citizenry. Th e theme of the 37th graduation ceremony of 19th October 2018 is “Towards Global and Ethical Citizenry.”
Uzima University College is presenting a total of 65 graduands for the 37th graduation ceremony. Th is class of 2018 is composed of the fi rst cadre of nine medical doctors who are the pioneer students of Uzima. As a Constituent College of the Catholic University of Eastern Africa, we are proud to present these students for graduation.
