exceptional geographic location Seventy million years ago where the Republic of Panama is today, there was a gap between the continents of North and South America through which the waters of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans flowed freely. About thirty (30) million years ago the collision of two tectonic plates of the Earth’s crust led to volcanoes that broke the ocean surface and started forming the Isthmus of Panama. By finally shutting down the flow of water between the two oceans ten million years ago, the land bridge re-routed currents in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and had an enormous impact on the Earth’s climate, its physical environment and human evolution. Today the Isthmus of Panama continues to have a major impact on human development. The shipping canal across the isthmus has been expanded to allow for the passage of very large ships. As a result, Panama has become a major logistics hub and the preferred route for ships from East Asia.
Natural Perfection The dominant feature of Panama´s territory is the volcanic central spine of mountains that forms the continental divide and two distinct regions of tropical rainforest. The Caribbean coast hosts forests with year round rainfalls, whereas the Pacific side includes a dry season. Overall, the rainforest in Panama still covers nearly 50% of the total land mass of the country. These tropical rainforests help regulate climate patterns and act as carbon sinks and oxygen generators. They also serve as a protected habitat for important plant and animal biodiversity that in Panama includes more than 9,915 known species of plants, 218 species of mammals, 302 species of birds, 242 species of reptiles and 182 species of amphibians. The rainforest is of crucial importance for the maintenance of rivers, lakes and the underground water table. This water supports the Panama Canal´s operations and a variety of economic activities, including the bottling of one of the best drinking waters in Panama.

The Eurofusion plant is hidden in over 400 hectares of pristine rainforest on the Pacific side of the central mountain range. There is no agriculture in the surrounding area that can lead to any residual contamination from pesticides and fertilizers. Neither is there any pollution from industrial activity. Deep under this rainforest is an artesian aquifer where the water percolates under pressure into protected granite caverns. The geological composition of the rock structure under the rainforest adds a balanced mineral and natural electrolyte profile to the water. Over one hundred sources of natural spring water flow from the surrounding hills and rainforest to ensure continuous replenishment of the aquifer even in a dry period. This ancient aquifer is the unparalleled source of Eurofusion’s bottled water.
THE ULTIMATE Natural WATER The best water to drink comes from a clean natural source that is also rich in natural minerals and electrolytes. Not only is it a question of minerals and taste in premium waters, but the surrounding environment has to be free of any pollution, such as residual pesticides and fertilizers from agriculture, industrial pollution and bacterial contamination on the land surface. Even though premium bottled water may come from a natural spring with some mineral content, on the surface it can be exposed to pollutants that require more treatment than pure artesian water. On the other hand, many bottled waters, even from major brands, are treated municipal water that lacks critical minerals and is often reprocessed water for repeated consumption. It is far better that water comes from a protected source deep underground. The natural minerals and electrolytes contained in artesian water are the best way for the human body to absorb these molecules and ensure proper hydration. state-of-the-art bottling facility Our artesian water is bottled in a plant designed to function impeccably in a high humidity jungle environment. The 10,000 m2 plant uses fully automated Krone bottling equipment with real time monitoring and a quality assurance program that exceeds internationally recognized standards established by the International Bottled Water Association (IBWA) and the World Health Organization (WHO). Stainless steel food-grade pipes carry our water from the depths of the artesian aquifer through advanced filtration and treatment systems to the production area where it is automatically bottled, capped and sealed under environmentally controlled conditions without human intervention. This plant is located in its own goberment authorized free zone that includes on-site customs control and special security arrangements.
Classic premium product In 2000, EUROFUSION`s founders searched for a unique and sustainable water source of outstanding quality. Their goal was to bring a premium natural mineral water to discriminating international consumers. After an exhaustive process, they discovered the ultimate source in an artesian aquifer deep beneath the Açai Rainforest south of the Continental Divide in Panama. Aquaçai is our principal water brand and comes in several sizes and caps, the main ones shown here. A 355ml is ideal for young children to take to school or women to carry in their bags. OUR company, EUROFUSION S.A. The company´s headquarters are located in the City of Panama, Republic of Panama and the modern bottling plant is located in its own free zone about an hour west in the rainforest of the Capira District. The search for a premium water took place in Central America from 2000 to 2004 and the best site was located in the Caimito watershed near Capira. The bottling plant was finished at the end of 2009 and exports started in 2010. The company supplies the Panamanian market, but is mostly focused on exports that include selected markets in the United States, United Kingdom, the Caribbean and China.
