Australian Centre for Industrial Intelligence (ACII) The Australian Centre of Industrial Intelligence (ACII) is a cornerstone initiative within the Isaac Resources Excellence Precinct (IREP), designed to position the Isaac region as a global leader in applied industrial intelligence for the resources, energy, and agricultural sectors.

As industries face increasing pressure to produce more with fewer resources while meeting environmental, regulatory, and market expectations, ACII will help organisations move from fragmented systems and retrospective reporting to predictive, data-driven decision making. Through advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, digital twins, and automation, ACII will enable industry to optimise complex supply chains—from pit-to-port, energy systems, and farmto-market networks—while building new regional capability and attracting investment.

Located in Moranbah at the centre of the Bowen Basin, ACII will embed advanced digital capability directly into realworld operations—transforming complex industrial data into practical insights that improve productivity, reduce risk, optimise supply chains, and support lower-carbon industrial systems. The centre will operate as a delivery platform rather than a traditional research institute, working alongside live assets, existing supply chains, and the regional workforce to trial, deploy, and scale technologies that strengthen industry performance and resilience.

To deliver this vision, ACII will initially focus on three strategic capability areas that combine digital innovation, advanced manufacturing, and circular resource processing.
