Our Story

A new standard is being set on Sanibel Island.

With big dreams and a heart for service. What started out as family vacations to Sanibel Island for the Dahlmann family soon became the next big chapter in their lives. Dennis Dahlmann and his two sons, Andy and Ben, came to find that the island's natural charm was calling them back, year after year. They saw potential to create the new “it” spot for vacation getaways; when the opportunity arose to invest in property, they took it.

The Dahlmanns pride themselves on providing quality, personalized service and a casual tropical experience filled with complementary island activities raising the bar in hospitality.

The Inns of Sanibel team of innovators are always thinking of new ways to elevate their guest’s experience revitalizing the properties, from ethereal gardens to the complete rebuild of Sunset Beach Inn, The Inns of Sanibel’s team is here to stay and has a mission to constantly set the new standard for Sanibel Island creating an unforgettable island experience through four unique inns.
