Boasting many outstanding landmarks, Stafford town centre features Stafford Castle which dates back to the Normans, and the Elizabethan Ancient High House, the largest timber framed town house in England. Standing on the eastern banks of the River Sow, the imposing 200 year old Broad Eye Windmill is one of Stafford’s most distinctive buildings.

On the outskirts of the town centre the magnificent 900 acre Shugborough Estate and the 16th Century Rose Jacobean Mansion House, Ingestre Hall, are both well worth a visit.


Stafford offers a wealth of entertainment, for those looking for a little culture the well established Gatehouse Theatre and local art galleries prove popular venues. The nearby County Showground plays host to many local and national events. These, together with an array of shops, restaurants and cinemas mean most tastes are catered for.

Brooklands House, overlooks the picturesque nature reserve Doxey Marshes and with award-winning Victoria Park located near to the River Sow there is plenty of opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors. For golf enthusiasts, Stafford Castle Golf Club is only a short distance away.
Stafford Railway Station lies just 1.5 miles** away making a journey to London achievable within an hour and a half. Easy access to the M6 (junction 14, approx. 0.5 miles**) makes Birmingham Airport just a 40 minute drive for those wishing to travel further afield.
How to find us
Travelling on the M6 take the exit at J14 towards Stafford onto Eccleshall Road / A5013. Follow the road for 0.8 miles** where you will find Brooklands House.
Travelling west via A518, once approaching Stafford take the third exit at the roundabout onto A513. Follow the road for 1 mile** then turn left onto Sandon Road / B5066. At the roundabout take the third exit onto Browning Street for 0.1 miles** before turning right onto A34 / Grey Friars. At the next roundabout take the third exit onto Eccleshall Road / A5013, Brooklands House is located on the left.
