Students’ President Elections and Students’ Council Tevfik İleri Anadolu Lisesi, Rize / TURKEY

Class and School Student Representatives  At our school class reps are elected by

the whole students in the class in the first or the second week of the each school year.

Class and School Student Representatives  School students’ president is elected in

the mid November every year.

The process  Each class elects a class rep.  Then the class reps vote for the school president candidates among themselves.  The ones getting the highest votes run for the school students presidency elections.

Campaigns  The candidates start their election

campaigns trying to convince the school students with lots of interesting promises to vote for them.

Before The Election  Before the election all arrangements

such as;  Voter Lists  Voting Areas  Voting Cards  Voting Boxes are made by the school administration.

After the Election  The votes are counted and the results are

announced by the election committee.

School Students’ Council  The winner candidate becomes the

school students’ president and he starts to constitute his school council.

– Grade 11 Rep (3 positions) – Grade 12 Rep (3 positions) – Sports Rep (1 Male and 1 Female) – Arts Rep (1 Male and 1 Female)

Students’ Council

Responsibilities  Annually facilitate the revision/update of

the school goals, improvement strategies and planned expenditures which are outlined in the Single School Plan for Student Achievement.

Responsibilities  Ensure the school goals and improvement

strategies are measurable and based on an analysis of verifiable state and local data.

Responsibilities 

Seek input from all advisory committees.



Approve and recommend the updated Single School Plan to the local governing board for their approval.



Monitor the implementation of the approved School Plan, making modifications as necessary.
