Transportation of ADR goods is a particularly demanding process that requires specialized knowledge, experience, and equipment. ADR goods are dangerous substances such as chemicals, products hazardous to the environment and life, radioactive materials, and even weapons and military materials. The movement of these goods requires precise planning and reliable execution to prevent potential threats to people, environment, and infrastructure.

The issue of temperature fluctuations and changing atmospheric conditions is very important, especially in long-distance maritime transport. Cargo can exceed various climate zones many times over a period of ocean voyage. Reefer containers are used to transport goods that require controlled temperatures, such as fruit, vegetables, fish and meat.

Container transport in controlled temperature mode is subject to strict security requirements, such as monitoring the temperature of goods at each stage by means of electronic devices.

Transport at a controlled temperature requires continuity of the original temperature. Therefore, the reefer container should be properly checked both before and during loading. It must be in good working order, dry, preferably odourless and in good general technical condition.

It is worth mentioning that apart from an appropriate temperature, it is very important in the case of some goods, especially fresh fruit and vegetables, to set additional parameters concerning appropriate ventilation or humidity level.

ADECON specializes in the handling of hazardous materials and has extensive experience in dealing with lithium-ion batteries, which are shipped under special permits according to ICAO. With our services, hundreds of tons of air cargo are shipped every year.

BY SEA

Vast majority of cargo transports worldwide is being shipped using sea freight. In this field we specialize in reefer containers and haz-mat cargo. Team of forwarders and customs agents works extensively to support our customers with dedicated solutions.

BY ROAD

Our fleet of trucks is being developed constantly. Carbon footprint is an important factor for us – 20% of our trucks is powered by LNG. Entire fleet of ADECON is equipped with advanced telematics, directly connected to our ERP system, which enables to constantly monitor our shipments during transport. On average we do around 150 transports daily.

BY RAIL

Perfect solution between sea and air transport for transports between Asia and Europe. It allows to transport cargo twice as fast as on the sea, much more cost e ective than by air. We use this mode of transport for every reasonable case also for inner European transports to/from container terminals, thus minimizing the negative e ect on the environment. We are committed to innovation in order to provide the highest level of service and in the best possible time. Among other things, we have a dedicated system of mobile racks with the use of semi-automatic shuttle pallet transporters. This is a unique method implemented in a hazardous materials warehouse, ensuring easy and safe access to goods with the advanced technology of the System Stow Atlas and preparation for ADR of all classes. In the facility there are also: a modern fire protection system and alarm system. They are responsible for the safety of the goods entrusted to us. On the premises there is also a 24h security service. The hall meets the highest requirements in the category of environmental protection (SEVESO)

The issue: The development and production of electric vehicles (EVs) requires a change in the sourcing of raw materials, the implementation of new components, and the adherence to new standards, particularly in regards to batteries and fast-charging infrastructure. Ensuring seamless integration and reducing the risk of disruptions within the eMobility supply chain is crucial.

The answer: Addressing shortages and bottlenecks, particularly in the extraction and processing of raw materials, is key. Standardization will lower the costs of both R&D and production. By working together, organizations can create a supply chain that is e cient, robust, and mutually beneficial.

LG has attracted to Poland, among others, Asian electrolyte producers who not only import raw materials but also build factories in our country. What is electrolyte? An electrolyte is a liquid solution that enables the flow of electric current, making it essential to the generation and transmission of a certain voltage and amperage in a car battery.

CARGO ELECTROLYTE

Suppliers of electrolyte are interested in a stable but also flexible supply chain of their product directly to the production line of lithium-ion batteries. ADECON meets their expectations by building dedicated solutions. By working with agents worldwide, we can easily collect goods directly from the factory ramps, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free process. We organize sea freight to Europe and o er customs services, after which the raw material often goes to our depot or warehouse, where it is stored until it is ready to be in production. Here, the raw material ends its journey, but the finished product, i.e. batteries, also has to be sent on further. We arrange the export of goods to the farthest corners of the world, even to the door of the recipient, not only to the port in the destination.

Frequently, following the utilization of the raw materials, we also possess particular vacant containers - like steel barrels or iso tanks - that need to be transported back to Asia for their further use Such containers are usually returned uncleaned, and so from the IMDG regulations point of view, it is still a dangerous product at sea. And here the whole process comes full circle, because after appropriate cleaning and preparation, the containers are ready to hit the road with raw material or ready-made electrolyte again.
