Many view it as a time to jump start the Holiday Season and to prepare in earnest for the way forward as the year comes to an end, even more practical, this time of the year is the absolute end for the working year as some working people come to a complete standstill and float as the year goes by.

It is an emotion, a state of mind and an action involving and acknowledging the goodness of life be it big or small, from God, family and friends. Through this act of Thanksgiving, we must take a moment to thank God for the many blessings that have come our way. As a group of persons rendering service to others, we must endeavor to always put our best foot forward being mindful of the less fortunate amongst us. Let us together continue to give and give, simply because we cannot beat God giving and it will come back to us a hundred fold.Therefore, let us continue to Do more, Care more and Be more with a Thankful and Grateful heart. PILOT CLUB OF LUCAYA
Our Fundraising Division hosted a raffle as one of our club’s major fundraising efforts, with part proceeds supporting our Brain Health initiatives, including our weekly Breakfast Feeding Program at Lewis Yard Primary and The Beacon School. Twelve prizes were raffled, with the grand prize being $1,000.00 in cash. In the weeks leading up to the drawing, our club gained great visibility as members teamed up at various locations on Saturdays to sell tickets. The raffle drawing took place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Education Centre of the Pro-Cathedral of Christ the King. Prizes were presented on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Castaways Hotel. The Raffle was a complete success with all books being sold. The Fundraising Division expressed gratitude to all companies and Pilots who made donations. International Care and Kindness Week was observed November 10–16, 2025, and our Anchors embraced the opportunity to spread positivity in meaningful ways. Both of our Anchor Clubs, the Anchor Club of Lucaya (ACOL) and the Anchor Club of Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Academy (ACOMSSCA), participated with creative acts of kindness. Anchors at ACOL shared uplifting, handwritten notes with friends, reminding them that kindness goes a long way. Meanwhile, Anchors at ACOMSSCA visited the early childhood classes to read stories to the younger students. They also placed encouraging messages around the campus to brighten the day for all. To end the week on a sweet note, the Anchors treated every student to a small treat paired with an even sweeter message. A few of our Pilots also joined in throughout the week, finding their own thoughtful ways to share care, kindness, and encouragement. Early detection saves lives!

For the Pilot Club of Abaco, this Thanksgiving Day was a beautiful reminder of what matters the most! This special day invites us to pause and reflect on the many blessings we enjoy—family, community, health, and the opportunity to give back. Thanksgiving teaches us that gratitude is more than a feeling; it is something we express through acts of kindness, service, and compassion. Meals were served at Central Abaco Primary School, where the true spirit of Thanksgiving came alive. It was an honor to participate in this year’s Let’s Make a Difference Thanksgiving Feeding Initiative, our first year serving in Abaco. An incredible team including Pilots and Anchors, and a caring community joined together to prepare meals, demonstrating how powerful unity can be when hearts are aligned with purpose. A total of 1,000 hot meals were served today. This collective effort beautifully reflects what Thanksgiving is all about: giving thanks by giving to others.
On Friday, November 27th, the Sunset Pilot Club of Grand Bahama Projects Division, led by coordinator Pilot Kaylisa along with President Kayla Moss, President Elect Harvey Fernander, Pilot Members and members of the Compass Club of Freeport, collaborated to collect canned goods and non-perishable items. They presented these donations to the Evangeline Jervis Community Center, which plays a crucial role in supporting individuals in need by providing food, clothing, baby supplies, shoes, and school materials to help the community.

Members of the Sunshine Pilot Club of Nassau joined the Anchor Club of Hope Academy ‘Make A Difference Day’ . Honoree was Mr. Jamaal Ferguson/Operations Manager at the school. It was said that he has been a great help to many and an inspiration to some. The Anchor’s showed their appreciation & gratitude to him with their gift presentation not only for the many acts of kindness he did for the students but also for the entire school.
