Theyear2025-2026hasbeenaveryimpactandrewardingyearfor theBahamasDistrict.TheDistrictAdministrativeCouncilhitthe groundrunningaswewereableto“InspireaCreativeand ImpactfulJourneythroughFriendshipandService”aswewere abletoconnectwitheachClubwithintheDistrict.
AsGovernor,Iwishtoofferwordsofthanksandappreciationto eachPresidentwhoboughtinto thevisionandhelpedtoInspire andCreateanImpactfulJourneyaswetogethernavigatedeach projectwithprecision.
Additionally,eachCoordinator,eachappointeeandourPublic RelationsOfficerhelpedtobringthisShipintosafeharbor. The highlightofthisyearwasthecharteringofthenewPilotClub bringingourDistricttoseven(7)Clubsstrong.Withthechartering oftheCoralgemPilotClubofNassau,ourDistrictexceededthe mandatedamountof250members.Thismilestoneeffortwas witnessedbyourInternationalPresident,BeverlyHagarand ExecutiveDirector,Mrs.AlisonNooks.Thisachievementwas ared-letterdayfortheBahamasDistrict.
Duringthisyearwehavehadsomehighpoints andsomelowpoints,asaDistrict,webidfarewelltotwo distinguishedPilotmembersinthepersonsofPast Governor,JethlynBurrowsandPastInternationalPresident NickolaDawkins.Maytheirsoulscontinuetorestinpeace.

As the year draws to a close I would like to commend you for your stellar service to the community over the past year and I encourage you to continue to uphold Pilot International’s principles offriendship and service.

A heartfelt thank you to those who stepped up to serve as officers in the coming year Your willingness to lead is a true act of service, and your time, energy, and vision will guide our clubs and districtsforward. Pilot Sophia Walker was officially presented with the Pilot of The Year (2025-2026) award and token of appreciation for efforts during the year by District Governor Sheila McPhee.
2025-2026 Fun, Run, WalkT-Shirts were donated to Fox Hill Urban Renewal Center for use in the Community. Present for the Donation were: Governor Sheila, Pilots Asenath, Pamela and Stephanie along with the Urban Renewal Staff Membersfor the Fox Hill Area.
Sunset Pilot Club ofGrand Bahama hosted its Installation Ceremony on Saturday, June 20th. Meet the ExecutiveTeam and Appointees.
The Pilot Clubof Lucaya (PCOL) hosted a Corporate Mix & Mingle at the Grand Bahama Chamber ofCommerce on March 25, 2026.The event provided an opportunityfor local companies to connect with our members, learn more about Pilot International, and gain insight into the various community service initiatives undertaken by our club. Attendees also explored ways their organizations could partner with us in making a positive impact throughout Grand Bahama. Among the companies represented was Carnival Cruise Line’s Celebration Key. As a direct result oftheir participation in the event, the Celebration Key team came together to support the Pilot Club of Lucaya’s Brain Boost Breakfast Feeding Programme. On June10, 2026, members ofthe Pilot Club of Lucaya were invited to Celebration Key to receive this generous donation. We are sincerely grateful to the employees and leadership ofCelebration Keyfor their meaningful partnership and commitment to supporting the children of our community.Their generosity will help ensure that students have access to the nourishment they need to learn, grow, and thrive, making a lasting difference in their educational journey and overall well-being.
