Brain Awareness Week is March 16 – 22, 2026, and it is the official week to promote brain safety and research. Since1992, Pilot International hasfocused on brain related service and developed our BrainmindersTM educational program. Over the years, Pilot Clubs have presented numerous programs about brain safety to provide education to both our children and seniors using the BrainMinders ™ Buddies puppet show.

Sunset Pilot Clubof Grand Bahama
The Sunset Pilot Club ofGrand Bahama commemorated its anniversary with a vibrant celebration under the theme"Boots on the Ground.""
Members gathered at Black Beards, a beloved bar &grill owned by our esteemed pilot member, Johnyk Bevans.The evening wasfilled with joy, laughter, and camaraderie, complemented by a delectablefeast, refreshing drinks, engaging games, exciting prizes, and delightful surprises that truly made the night memorable
The Sunset Pilot Club ofGrand Bahama proudly hosted its Salute to Caregivers Dinner Program on Saturday, March 14th at Beacon School, honoring ten outstanding caregivers who have selflessly dedicated their time and compassion to caring for others in our community. Led by Projects Division Coordinator Kaylisa Sands-Kemp, along with the club’s executive board and members, the evening wasfilled with inspiration, appreciation, and fellowship. Guests enjoyed a beautiful solo by Alethea Cooper and inspirational moments shared by Linda Wright-Patrick.
Each honoree received a certificate and special gift of appreciation, along with a wonderful dinner and dessert generously donated by Pilot members. President Kayla Lightbourne-Moss also delivered encouraging remarks, commending caregiversfor their dedication and service to the community.
The program alsofeatured an overview ofthe Pick Me Up initiative by Dianna Whylly, highlighting the mission of Pilot International. Anchor Club member Na'viaja Walker participated in the evening’s activities, reflecting the strong collaboration between Pilots and Anchors.
It was truly an evening of elegance, gratitude, and celebration as we honored those who give so much of themselves in caring for others.

Planning Session for the Coralgem Pilot Club of Nassau on preparation for charter ceremony. Governor Sheila and Past Governor Dellareese Wilson were in attendance to share knowledge about the Bahamas District.
