VISION FOR 2025-2026 VISION FOR 2025-2026

We have a lot of workfor this year's team to do, but we are up to the tasks.

1) We need tofind an executive director

(ISSUE 01-JULY 2025)

2) We need tofocus on developing our vision as we continue through the next several years

3) Growing our reach and impact a legacy that outlives us, not just one that shines in the here and now.

4) We have to continue in our stewardship of our dollars and how we utilize them to server our membership and grow our services

5) We will also continue analyze our leadership structure and make changes and recommendations as we see fit. We may have to change how we do conventions. We may have to shorten or skip years, but for now we will start the process of evaluation and lead our delegation forward.

GBED Getting Better Every Day

Keep in mind this doesn't mean something was wrong or broken, but it does mean we are always striving to make things better, get a little bit faster, more efficient, and overall smarter than the average bear. However, we do have to be able to take a breath sometimes and step back and check ourfeelings at the door If we can use this lens tofind ways to make things better, we often stumble across better processes, easier systems, and ways to save us all time and money.

I also think we do have to have quantitative goals, and I have 3:

First, increase in membership is paramount. Second, Engage in different ways is our second measure. Last is Partnerships. Finally, one last acronym. They help me keep things in mind. At work, my current favorite is SWAN, SleepWell At Night. I tell clients, if it does not help them SWAN, then maybe we need to reconsider our plan! For Pilot, it is BLOOM I created this in 2020 and it still drives a lot of what I do!

B - Be present where yourfeet are (Dr Kevin Elko)

L - Lookfor ways to help in big and small arenas (Mister Rogers taught us this)

O - Open yourselfto growth in your Pilot, personal, and professional life

O - Orchestrate opportunities to help others grow

M - Make a difference as you continue to Do More, Care More and Be More

I believe these goals will help us continue to grow and develop our organization so we can continue to be a positive impact in the communities where we live and serve Together we can grow and watch as“hana ga saku”which means, flowers bloom, just as we enter a season of Pilot In Bloom.
