HENRY SCHEIN DONATION TO ST PATS
Henry Schein, through their Henry Schein Cares Foundation, recently installed a VK401 Radic8 Virus Killer Air Purifier in the oral health clinic at St Pats. It comes following a visit from Henry Schein Halas state manager Margy O’Connor and product manager Sthen Boisen to St Pats, when they kindly took the time to determine how they could help the St Pats’ volunteers, patients, and staff with the anticipated surge in COVID-19 cases following the opening of our borders. Thank you also to Nichola Meehan (who was a driving force leading up to this donation), and everyone at Henry Schein for helping to provide a safer environment at St Pats.

GOVERNANCE TRAINING AND TEAM BUILDING TO STRENGTH OUR COUNCIL
You may have seen on the ADAWA Facebook page that our council recently undertook the Australian Institute of Company Director’s good governance training, followed by an intense strategy day and team building exercises. ADAWA President Dr Amit Gurbuxani says the decision by council and executive to improve governance was for the benefit of all ADAWA members. “It is important that everyone who comes on to council and executive understands their roles and responsibilities,” he says. “ADAWA has changed a lot from what it used to be many years ago to what it is now. We are a growing association, and we need to keep up with the times. “What I want members to know is that we are taking the responsibility that they have given us of running this association very seriously and any decisions we make are being done in a very structured and futureproof manner. “Each and every member of the board has a voice, and the team building, in addition to the governance training, was fantastic because it demonstrated how fortunate we are to have people with different personalities and skills on council to get the job done.”
