Welcome to our new Castlec Circuit Protection Catalogue where we launch our eagerly anticipated new range of metal consumer units.

These new consumer units are a fully enclosed metal construction with a unique flush drop down metal lid. With raised key holes and a spacious, easily accessible wiring area, we believe these are our most user friendly range of consumer units yet.

We are constantly adding to our ranges and in this new catalogue we introduce a range of Bi-directional RCBOs, Single Module T2 SPDs, IP65 EV & Mini Garage Units, improved MCBs, ARC Devices and more to our Circuit Protection collection.

All of our products are tested to the applicable standards and come with the appropriate certification. Where possible we provide a free next day delivery on all orders £150 or over received by 1pm. Orders below £150 are subject to £8.50 carriage charge.

The new range of boards have a fully enclosed metal construction with a unique flush drop down metal lid. With raised key holes and a spacious, easily accessible wiring area, we believe these are our most user friendly range of consumer units yet.

Also we have a new range of Bi-directional RCBOs 1P+N, Single Module T2 SPDs (with live located at the bottom for ease of install) , IP65 EV & Mini Garage Units and several other new items to our catalogue.

Our new surge protection devices are now single module and can be connected directly on the busbar without the need for additional MCB*- leaving more ways for household circuits.

*If the incoming supply is protected by, equal to or less than a 125A fuse no MCB is required*

Bi-directional RCBOs

Bi-directional Mini RCBOs with switched LINE and NEUTRAL. With the growth of renewable energy systems such as EV Chargers and solar installations where power can be fed back into the grid, there is an increasing need for bidirectional current flow. Our Bidirectional RCBOs can detect faults regardless of the current direction, providing enhanced safety for these installations.

18th Edition BS6761 stipulates that Surge Protection Devices are required unless a risk assessment is performed and determines otherwise.

The latest Edition to the Wiring Regulations BS7671:2018+A2@2022 mandates AFDDs for a select amount of installation types:

•Higher Risk Residential Buildings (HRRB) • Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO)

For all other premises, the use of AFDDs is recommended for single-phase AC final circuits supplying socket-outlets not exceeding 32A.
