Owner, Claude DaCorsi, has been managing restaurants and bars for over 25 years. After inadvertently meeting the CEO of Pizza Schmizza, he and his wife Hannah were so impressed with their business model, they decided a few years back to buy into the franchise. Although they have owned three locations over the years, they are currently focusing all of their efforts on our location here in Wilsonville, one of the only remaining original locations still in existence (and celebrating their 30th anniversary this year!).
We’re all familiar with the Oregon-based Schmizza brand, but if you’ve been living under a rock for the past 30 years, you should just know that this is not any old run-of-the-mill pizza parlor. As their website states, they are, “serious, edgy, and irreverent” and serve a variety of fantastic food — it’s not just about the pizza! — in a family-friendly and eclectic atmosphere. Here in Wilsonville, they are extremely proud, especially this time of year, to boast one of the largest and most-inviting patios of any of their locations, not to mention 7 large TVs inside which run all of the latest sports programming from open till close. Add to that their amazing food and selection of craft beers, and you’ll never want to go home. Pizza is New York style, thin-crust pizza made with dough that is FRESH not frozen, and hand-tossed every day with a little Parmesan added for additional flair! They are known for their unique combinations and they use proprietary blends in everything from the dough, to the sauce, to the cheese and their marinades. Nearly everything on the menu is, in fact, unique. So, if you’re looking for something a little different, look no further.
Just as delicious and one-of-a-kind as their pizzas are their sandwiches, salads and pastas! In fact, according
to Claude, some of those items are just as popular as their pizzas, and they try to be as accommodating as possible for those with dietary restrictions. Ingredients are all of the highest quality and sourced locally whenever available, and they are always introducing new menu items.
