Since 1959, Richardson’s has been a household name in these parts, a name synonymous with great quality, great value, and great customer service. It all began rather sensibly when Lowell Richardson did some upholstery work on his daughter’s car. She was so impressed by the quality of the work that she spread the word amongst her friends, and before long the Richardsons’ basement was transformed into an upholstery shop. In the following years, production grew to such an extent that they had to keep relocating to ever larger properties to accommodate the demand. Finally, in 1964, they landed at 2015 Columbia Blvd in Saint Helens, a 22,000 sq. ft. space they transformed into a full-service retail outlet furniture store. And that’s where they’re still doing business today!

So how did Richardson’s survive and thrive for over 60 years? After all, the industry typically sees its purveyors coming and going with far greater frequency. There are a multitude of reasons, but mainly it comes down to their undying

commitment to you, the buying public. Customer service is and has always been priority one.
