A

Meet Joe Rapport, owner of Joe’s Burgers at Murrayhill. This place is going to turn your world upside down! Joe calls his restaurant “fast casual” versus fast food, and with good reason. The fantastic service is quick and doesn’t keep you waiting (similar to a fast food place), but the food they serve is a colossal step above the typical fast food fare. It’s not fine dining, of course, just a fun burger joint with good old-fashioned American-style burgers made the way you like them. But it’s also not one of those chains that serve pre-made, GMO-filled frozen “meat products’’ and milkshakes with no ice cream! Plain and simple: if you’re a burger lover who wants quality food served up quick, hot, and delicious, you’re going to love Joe’s! Joe has been in the food industry since he was 15 years old. During that time, he has experienced just about every level of quality the industry has to offer, from starting out at McDonald’s to working with Wolfgang Puck in Los Angeles, to overseeing fine dining restaurants as Executive Chef. Joe uses fresh, locally-sourced meat that is all natural and never exposed to antibiotics or growth hormones. He also uses the freshest vegetables, and the buns come from Franz Bakery. Everything served at Joe’s is non-GMO and, whenever possible, purchased from local suppliers, so not only are his offerings healthier and better-tasting, but by supporting Joe’s, you’re also supporting other local businesses and farmers. The fries and other deep-fried options are cooked using canola oil, rather than soybean. For any Celiac sufferers out there, Joe uses a separate fryer to prepare gluten free options and he also offers gluten free buns from Jensen Bakery in Portland. These burgers are made to order, so you can always modify your order to meet your dietary needs and preferences. There are so many delicious burger options on the menu, from the basic burger to the more adventurous Black and Blue or Guacamole burgers, you’ll be sure to find something to satisfy. However, if burgers simply aren’t your thing, they also offer an awesome all-beef hot dog, a BLT, fish sandwich, chicken bites, salads, lettuce wraps, and either a meat-based chili or a vegetarian 3-bean chili that are both unbelievably delicious! Joe’s wife has run the Beaverton Farmers Market for over 25 years and is a vegetarian herself. She’s been Joe’s right hand when it comes to providing vegetarian options for their customers,
and it’s her stamp of approval that Joe has relied on to serve the best vegetarian chili and veggie burgers anywhere in town. Burger places in general are known for being notoriously unhealthy and for not providing many options for those with dietary restrictions, but at Joe’s Burgers they’ve gone the extra mile to make sure everyone can enjoy their meal! For those burger joint traditionalists who are not so concerned about calorie count, one of the less healthy but oh-so-delicious items on the menu is their real, hand-scooped ice cream milkshakes. Decadent and creamy, they serve the standard flavors like vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry, as well as Oreo, and they almost always have a special seasonal flavor. This fall the tasty treats were available in Caramel Apple and Pumpkin flavors, but we’ll leave this season’s flavor a surprise for you to go discover for yourself!

uto glass repair and replacement isn’t something many of us typically care to deal with. It’s a common problem, though, here in the Northwest, where snow and ice treatments on the roads often leave behind tiny fragments of loose gravel. Gravel which somehow seems to lodge firmly into tire treads just long enough to gain the perfect trajectory and velocity to then be flung through the air and into your windshield! Or perhaps the gravel was innocent, and it was rather some malicious person that was intent on breaking through your windows and helping themselves to your belongings. Whatever the cause, dealing with damaged auto glass can be a hassle, a headache, and an unasked for burden, but the good news for us here in Beaverton is that we have the best in the business right here to help! more fun, has more energy, or is more packed to the gills with amazing classic tunes and family-friendly entertainment than The Lugnuts. If you have heard them, you’ll know firsthand - they really are that good!
The group has been rocking and rolling in the Pacific Northwest since the late seventies, but they travel all over performing nationwide, from coast to coast. Jerry Hoffman, one of the 3 original founding members still in the group, is one of the friendliest guys you could ever meet. He also represents the core of what the band and show is all about - fantastic people, who are simply having a blast doing something they all love. Believe it or not, the whole thing actually started out as a gag! Back in ‘78, when Jerry and some friends were working at Washington
