Are you an experienced Scouter looking for a fresh challenge? Are you an adult (young or old) wanting to work with children in an exciting environment? Do you want to be part of the world’s biggest Youth Movement?
Note that being a Scouter is a Volunteer position, with the rewards being, camaraderie, fun and a Sense of Achievement in nurturing our children.
We are seeking Passionate people, not only just Ex Scouters, but anyone keen to work with children, to join our dynamic group and lead our Cubs and Scouts into a bright new Future.
Knysna is a unique and diverse community, and at 1st Knysna Sea Scouts, we are excited to offer you a chance to shape and grow the Pack and Troop from a solid foundation to bring in new ideas, innovation and energy. We have a strong team of dedicated Scouters in place but need new leaders to bring everything together and help us move forward. You will have the opportunity to design exciting programs and make a real difference in the lives of young people.

The Roles:
As Pack Scouter (Akela) / Pack Assistant or Troop Scouter / Assistant Troop Scouter you will be part of a team guiding Scouts through their journey, helping them develop life skills, explore the outdoors, and contribute to their community. You will have the full support from a strong and experienced group of Scouters, and the chance to build a vision that aligns with Scouting and the group’s values. Best of all, you won’t need to worry about equipment, we’ve got everything you need to help run exciting and impactful activities!
If you are ready to take on a leadership role in a vibrant and growing Scout Group, we’d love to hear from you. Bring your experiences and leadership to the Group. Training will be provided. All applicants must go through a Scout vetting program and Police Clearance. Child Safety is of utmost importance!
