Introducing ACT4life
ACT4life is a visual framework for understanding behavior and supporting change through ACT.
Using six symbolic figures and a visual landscape called the Crossroads, ACT4life helps make complex behavioral dynamics visible, concrete, and easier to discuss. The model integrates process-based assessment, case formulation, intervention, and skill development within one shared visual language.
This introductory guide provides a concise overview of the philosophical and theoretical foundations of ACT4life, its relationship with ACT, Functional Contextualism, and Relational Frame Theory, and demonstrates how the model can be applied across healthcare, education, coaching, and other helping professions.
Developed over 25 years by Monique Samsen and designed for professionals seeking a practical, visual, and process-based approach to understanding behavior and facilitating meaningful change.
