My Big Mama made this cake every week for Sunday Dinner. After her passing, my oldest sister kept up the tradition. The torch has passed to me, the youngest of 10, and now every Sunday I make the same cake.

Big Mama in her early 30s, during the 1940s in Carmel, California.
