1) BE IT RESOLVED that the ACRY at its 77th National Convention offers praise and thanksgiving to Almighty God for all the blessings He has bestowed upon our organizations and our Holy Orthodox Church. We are extremely grateful that we can continue to gather in person for this convention as we continue to recover from the global pandemic. We pray that our Lord continue to bless and protect our Godsaved Diocese and our youth organizations under the protection of Saints Cyril and Methodius and in our efforts continue to move “Forever Forward and Heavenward.” 2) BE IT RESOLVED that the ACRY at its 77th National Convention prays to Almighty God to bless and protect our Holy Ecumenical Patriarch, His All Holiness Bartholomew, as the “First Among Equal” as he presides in love over 250 million Orthodox Christians in the world. We offer our heartfelt congratulations to His All-Holiness, as he celebrates this year, the 31st anniversary of his Enthronement as Ecumenical Patriarch, Is pollá eti, Déspota! 3) BE IT RESOLVED that the ACRY at its 77th National Convention would like to extend our heartfelt prayer and best wishes to our Ruling Hierarch His Eminence, Metropolitan Gregory of Nyssa, honoring his continued commitment to youth ministry and his dedication and support for the young people of our Diocese. May his faith and enthusiasm continue to lead us into the everlasting Kingdom of God. May the Lord bless him with many blessed years! Is pollá eti, Déspota! 4) BE IT RESOLVED that the ACRY at its 77th National Convention prays for the eternal memory and blessed repose of the souls of our departed Diocesan Hierarchs: His Eminence, Metropolitan Orestes, the founding father of our Diocese and ACRY; His Grace, Bishop Peter; His Grace, Bishop Methodius; His Grace, Bishop John and His Eminence, Metropolitan Nicholas of all thrice blessed memory. May we as an organization always hold and foster the principles and ideals our Hierarchs have fostered in us. May Their Memories Be Eternal! Vič naja Jim Pamjat! 5) BE IT RESOLVED that the ACRY at its 77th National Convention offers prayers and support for the people in the war-torn country of Ukraine. May the Lord God lead those nations involve in this conflict to peace. May the country of Ukraine be blessed with healing, strength and endurance as the war continues to rage. May we find ways to aid in the easing of their hardship and sorrow as the days of the war have turned into months. May we never lose the zeal to assist those in need of our spiritual and physical assistance. 6) BE IT RESOLVED that the ACRY at its 77th National Convention offers our congratulations to the Diocese for 84 years of spiritual guidance for our members of the Orthodox Faith. We pray for continued growth and prosperity for many years to come. And may we never lose focus of the word of the Holy Apostle Paul in his letter to the Hebrew: “Remember your prelates who first spoke God’s message to you , and reflecting on the outcome of their life and work; following the example of their
faith.”
7) BE IT RESOLVED that the ACRY at its 77th National Convention expresses it gratitude and appreciation to the members of Chapter #43, Rockaway, New Jersey the host chapter and parish of the 2022 National ACRY Convention, for their dedication and efforts in making this year’s convention possible. And much gratitude to Camp Nazareth & Saint John’s parish in Hermitage for having hosted the 2022 National Bowling Tournament. Many Years! 8) BE IT RESOLVED that the ACRY at its 77th National Convention continues to support the institutions of our beloved Diocese mainly: Christ the Saviour Seminary and Camp Nazareth. May they continue to flourish under the guidance of the All Holy Spirit. 9) BE IT RESOLVED that the ACRY at its 77th National Convention supports the worldwide protest over the denial of the title of “Ecumenical Patriarch” by the governmental authorities of Turkey. This title is historically accurate and remains intact. We express our continued regrets at the closing of the historical Ecumenical Theological School of Halki in 1971, 51 years ago, by the Turkish authorities. It is our fervent prayer that this historic theological academy and monastery be reopened in the near future so that it can continue its ministry of the formation and edification of the future students of the service i n t h e O r t h o d o x C h u r c h . W e acknowledge and encourage support for the efforts of the Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate who continue to spotlight oppressive conditions and advocate improvements of the Orthodox Christians in Turkey 10) BE IT RESOLVED that the ACRY at its 77th National Convention rejoices with and congratulates The Very Reverend Protopresbyter Fr. James & Pañi Dutko and Very Reverend Fr. Michael & Pañi Debra Zak as they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary and the Fathers’ 50th Anniversary of Ordination to the Priesthood. Also to the Very Reverend Protopresbyter Fr. John & Pañi Fedornock 60th Wedding Anniversary and 60th Anniversary of Ordination. And to all Clergy and wives who are celebrating special anniversary of their priestly ordinations and marriages this year, as we continue to pray for vocations to serve our faithful and follow in the step of our Lord Jesus Christ. 11) BE IT RESOLVED that the ACRY at its 77th National Convention offers its deepest condolences and prayer on the repose in the Lord of Very Reverend Protopresbyter Lawrence Barriger; Very Reverend Protopresbyter John Gido; Very Reverend Protopresbyter Michael & Pani Eleanor Polanichka; Pani Mary Panchisin; Very Reverend Michael Macura; Very Reverend Protopresbyter Michael Slovesko; Hiero-monk Nicholas (Bogdasavich); Reverend Fr. Peter Benyo; Pañi Joan Wine; Sally Ellis. 13) BE IT RESOLVED that the ACRY a t i t s 7 7 t h Na t io n a l C o n ve n t io n acknowledge the contributions of all outgoing national officers and prays that the Lord will bless the newly elected officers of the National Senior and Junior ACRY with wisdom and strength to conduct all activates in the coming year. May the Holy Spirit inspire and guide them in all their efforts as they continue to lead “Forever Forward and Heavenward.” 14) BE IT RESOLVED that the ACRY at its 77th National Convention encourages the spiritual growth of its members with increased participation at Diocesan retreats, pilgrimages and camping sessions. Spiritual growth is vital to the increase in the faith and the Orthodox Christian witness to the Risen Lord in the world. 15) BE IT RESOLVED that the ACRY at its 77th National Convention, in keeping with the Diocesan camping theme “Be Holy for I am Holy.” 1 Peter 1:16 resolves to labor tirelessly in the new Ecclesiastical Year to continue to move beyond the Covid pandemic to strengthen the ACRY and assist in a Diocesanwide effort, to recover, rebuild, and revitalize our parishes and Diocesan ministries and institutions. 16) BE IT RESOLVED that the ACRY at its 77th National Convention commits to the reactivation of ACRY chapters that have fallen away with lapsed memberships in the past years. 17) BE IT RESOLVED that the ACRY at its 77th National Convention offers its full support of the efforts and endeavors of the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States of America. We pray that their efforts at fostering Orthodox unity and cooperation are well pleasing to Almighty God. 18) BE IT RESOLVED that the ACRY at its 77th National Convention offers prayers and support for all Orthodox clergy, laity and Christians around the world who are persecuted for the faith and for those held in captivity. 19) BE IT RESOLVED that the ACRY at its 77th National Convention supports and prays for our United States Government and the members of our Armed Forces, both here and abroad, in the continuing effort to offer protection from those who desire to harm others through acts of terrorism. 20) BE IT RESOLVED that the ACRY at its 77th National Convention offers it appreciation for the support of the Diocese for all of our endeavors as we continue to move “Forever Forward and Heavenward.” 21) BE IT RESOLVED that the ACRY at its 77th National Convention offers its deepest condolences and prayers on the repose in the Lord of former National ACRY President, David Dutko. May His Memory be Eternal!
