「AcrossU-Can青年獎」的構思過程本⾝就是 個美妙之 旅。

策劃委員會成員來⾃不同的背景， 半是Across的資深成 員，另⼀半是AcrossU-hub的新⼒軍，為這個項⽬注⼊了 多元的視⾓和熱情。

許多⼈認為，取得顯著且可量化的結果是成功的指標，然 ⽽，Across也重視，朝著⽬標努⼒，並從過程中學習，能 夠改變⽣活的態度，同樣值得欣賞和表揚的。

我們設⽴這個奬項的⽬的是表揚那些經過有意義的⼈⽣轉 變、為社區作出貢獻、反思⾃⼰的⽂化⾝份並積極調和東 西⽂化的年輕⼈。這些故事未必是觸⽬的新聞或創下記錄 的，但毫無疑問，年輕⼈所經歷的旅程往往將他們塑造成 富有同理⼼、適應能⼒强和有遠⾒的領袖。

這個奬項的其中⼀個焦點是提名者經過對⾃⼰⾝份疑惑、 瞭解和認同，從⽽為社會作出⽂化連繫的貢獻。評選標準 著重於年輕⼈在⾝份傳統和價值觀之間建⽴橋樑，使他們

在多元並複雜的社會中，活得精彩、更加堅強，更有智 慧，並為他們在社區產⽣積極影響做好準備。

I am excited to share with you the incredible journey we undertook in creating the "Across U-Can Youth Awards."

Witnessing our committee in action was truly touching Comprising half seasoned members and half new members, the team brought new perspectives and fresh enthusiasm into our endeavour

In today’s result-driven world, many deem success as one that yields high returns. But Across also sees the importance of learning from the process, prioritizing it over the outcome.

Our aim is to shine a spotlight on the often-untold stories of young people who have undergone meaningful life transformations, made contributions to their communities, and embarked on a journey of selfdiscovery and cultural identity These transformations might not always make headlines or break records, but they undoubtedly shape young people into compassionate, adaptable, and visionary leaders.

A distinctive facet of this award lies in its focus on the nominees’ journey in searching for roots, reclaiming cultural identity, and integrating/reconciling the two distinct Eastern and Western cultures

These narratives are not just about the destination; they are about the paths that lead there They portray young people who bridge the gap between tradition and values, navigate the complexities of cultural diversity, and emerge stronger, wiser, and ready to positively impact their community

Asthesummerseasondrawstoaclose,studentshavereturned totheirstudies,markingtheonsetofanewacademicyear. Concurrently,AcrosshassuccessfullyconcludeditsstYouth LeadershipTrainingcamp.Thepandemicforcedustopause thecampforthreeyears,soit'sbeenquiteatripdownmemory laneforourstaffandvolunteers.

Thisyear'scampyieldedcountlesspreciousmoments.Guided bythethemeof'Exploration,'weembarkedonatransformative journeyalongsideourcampers.Throughadiversearrayof programsandengagingactivities,weendeavouredtoempower ourcamperstosurmounttheirperceivedlimitationsand embracetheboundlesspotentialwithinthem.Aparticularly celebratorymomentoccurredwhenourcampersaccomplished theremarkablefeatofproducingtwomusicvideosinamere four-hourwindow,spanningfromshootingtoediting.These videosservedaspoignantexpressionsofthechallengesand emotionsfacedbyourcampers,settothebackdropofpopular music.Ontheeveningofday,wecappedoffourunforgettable experienceswithabonfireunderastarrysky.Ourcampstaff andparticipantsjoinedinsingingsongsandsharinglaughter, creatingcherishedmemoriestogether.
