我們認管了 個公園！
認管公園、⼭徑、街道或其他公共設施，在加拿⼤是很流 ⾏的。市⺠透過認管的項⽬，主動聯絡設施的部⾨，討論
如何完善管理、建議或增加設備、保持清潔、確保安全， 甚⾄安排活動、監管可能發⽣的不尋常或不合法活動。
為了讓年輕⼈對社區有積極的貢獻和參與，AcrossU-hub 認管了鄰近的RisebroughPark，與年輕⼈承諾關⼼社 區，主動建議，以⾏動建設更美好的社區環境。
年輕義⼯們得知道這個消息都很雀躍，開始策劃如何了解 這個公眾地⽅，捲起袖⼦拿起鉗⼦和垃圾袋，清潔公園， 意外地吸引公園內遊⼈，並得到他們的欣賞。另 ⽅⾯， 年輕⼈更細⼼地留意公園內的設施，遇到需要修補和加設 的物件，⼀⼀記錄下來，然後彙報有關部⾨。
AcrossU-hub在義⼯的訓練⽅⾯，⼀向著重尋找實踐學習 的活動，這次認管公園，就是 次學習與實踐的例⼦。年 輕⼈有無窮的創意，認管了公園之後，他們不但承諾履⾏ 義務責任，更籌劃如何善⽤這個公園。打頭炮將會配合 RunwithAcross年度的⾺拉松賽事，在7⽉28⽇開始為期 3個⽉的練習，並邀請教練指導，將於10⽉6⽇舉⾏ AcrossRunwithFamilyandFriend K賽事。

We Adopt a Park!
Adopting a park, trail, street, or other public facility is a popular initiative in Canada. Through such programs, citizens actively connect with facility departments to discuss how to improve management, make suggestions, maintain cleanliness, ensure safety, and even organize activities while monitoring for unusual or illegal activities.
To encourage young people to contribute positively and participate actively in the community, Across U-hub has adopted the nearby Risebrough Park. By doing so, we commit to caring for the community, making proactive suggestions, and taking action to create a better community environment
Our young volunteers were excited to hear this news and began planning how to get to know this public space better. They eagerly rolled up their sleeves, picked up tongs and garbage bags, and started cleaning the park, which unexpectedly drew attention from park visitors. Additionally, the young people paid close attention to the park's facilities, noting down items that needed repair or additions and reporting them to the relevant departments.
Across U-hub has always focused on finding practical learning activities for volunteer training. This park adoption is a perfect example of learning through practice. Our young volunteers, full of creativity, have not only committed to fulfilling their responsibilities but are also planning how to make the most of this park. Leading the way is the "Run with Across" annual marathon event. Starting July 28, we will have a three-month training period with coach guidance, culminating in the "Across Run with Family and Friends" 5K race on October 6.
We sincerely invite you to Risebrough Park, located at 97 Risebrough Circuit, Markham, on July 28 at 3 PM to support our young people's initiative.
Stories in our City
On June 22, with nearly 50 participants, we embarked on a cultural journey through the heart of our diverse neighborhoods, immersing ourselves in the enchanting streets of Parkdale (Little Tibet) and the vibrant Tibetan Canadian Cultural Centre.
In City Mosaic, we focus on three core principles: Explore, Expand, and Experience Thanks to our dedicated volunteers, we had a rich program that allowed us to explore the Tibetan Canadian Cultural Centre and the Parkdale (Little Tibet) neighborhood We delved into the history and culture of Tibet, learned the traditional Groshey circle dance, and savored traditional Tibetan food. It was a truly enriching experience that broadened our horizons and gave us a unique taste of Tibetan culture.
Participants had the opportunity to engage in interactive discussions and listen to stories from members of the Tibetan community, offering a deeper understanding of their heritage. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing gratitude for the chance to connect with a culture they previously knew little about.
Looking ahead, we are excited to continue our journey of cultural exploration with more neighborhoods and communities. Stay tuned for our next City Mosaic event, where we will explore another vibrant cultural experience
