Who

The group that Lusitalia S.r.l. belongs to formed in 1985, focusing primarily on the agricultural and agro-industrial sectors. Although this facet of the group’s business remains important (it still manages one of the extensive vineyards in Emilia Romagna, in the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) territory of Lambrusco di Sorbara), over the years the group has been increasingly active in property and tourism, both directly and through its investment in subsidiaries.

Involvement in the property market began in Modena, and the surrounding area, followed by expansion into tourist hotspots such as San Martino di Castrozza, in the Dolomites, Santa Teresa di Gallura, in Sardinia, Marsala, in Sicily and Pietra Ligure, in Liguria. As early as 1995, the group was investing in property at Lake Garda, in particular around Peschiera del Garda, in the province of Verona, which was identified as the most promising location for tourism development, thanks to the following qualities: - proximity to the many amusement parks of the Southern Garda area - proximity to historic cities such as Venice and Verona - transport links: Peschiera del Garda is easily reached by car (and has a dedicated motorway

exit), train (it has its own station), and by plane (Catullo airport is just 10 minutes’ drive away).

Ever since it was founded, the Group has continued to grow, with new acquisitions as well as developing the property it already owns. The most recent, substantial undertaking came in 2012, with the renovation of a hotel in Peschiera del Garda (the Enjoy Garda Hotel). Less than a year after its renovation, this 4-star hotel was listed by the most popular booking websites as one of the top 25 hotels in Italy for customer satisfaction.

Without neglecting the management of its existing properties, the group is currently concentrating on what is one of the most important projects of its type ever undertaken in and around Peschiera del Garda: the Golden Village Garda. This lakeshore complex includes villas, a hotel and a marina all on the same site, just a few minutes’ walk from the town centre. The first steps were taken over 10 years ago with the purchase of the site on the lakeside followed by the creation of the marina, in 2003. Thanks to the recent agreement with the local council, it has been possible to combine everything in a single, unified development characterised by the exclusive location and facilities, along with a landscape that, day after day, sunset after sunset, manages to take the breath away.

The new Porto Bruno Manfredi is very modern and equipped with the best technical equipment. It was built by the Lusitalia and the project stems from the love for this land and from the managerial talent of Gianfranco Manfredi and his father Bruno before him. There are more than 200 mooring spaces and the same number of spaces on land for boots up to 80 feet. Services include alecticity and water supplied by a computerised central system, a travel-lift and fixed cranes for launches and berthing slips, a fuel pump a few hundred meters away, wireless Internet, winter dry docking, large car park, workshop, and 24h surveillance.
