Camp Descriptions June 20th - June 24th Little Entrepreneurs Instructor: SPARK Business Academy Ages: Kindergarten - 2nd Grade Are you ready to start your own business? Join other intrepid campers and develop a business plan for your own business idea. You will learn to take risks and persevere, while making business-like decisions about strategy, marketing and finance (optional activities include building a website and designing business cards). Campers build confidence "learning by doing" throughout the week and make their pitch presentations on the last day! Fee: $195 Summer Jewelry Making Instructor: Siomara Lorenzo Ages: 3rd Grade and Up Come and enjoy a week of Jewelry making. Learn to make bracelets, earrings, and charms. You will be using materials such as Glass and Plastic beads, rubber and metal wire, and resin. You will take home a new and personalized piece of jewelry every day! Fee: $120 Where the Wild Things Are Instructor: Tammy Crowe Ages: Pre-K - 1st Grade Enjoy an exciting week of fun based on the children’s book, Where the Wild Things Are, by Maurice Sendak. The week will be filled with creative movement, creative drama and a variety of art projects. We will have fun using our imaginations to create masks, crowns and so much more! Our week will conclude with an adventurous “wild rumpus.” Please bring a nut-free snack and lunch and a pre-filled water bottle each day. Fee $175 Junior CEOs Instructor: SPARK Business Academy Ages: 3rd - 5th Grade How cool would it be for you to be the boss at Apple or Nike for a day? In this leadership program, you can! Campers act as CEOs for leading companies and collaborate to make strategic recommendations to address real business issues. Case studies include popular companies and examine the role of female and minority CEOs. Campers enhance their problem-solving skills, develop business savvy and cultivate a strategic mindset as future leaders. Fee $195
Camp Descriptions June 20th - June 24th cont'd Art in Nature Instructor: Shari Ellmaker Ages: Pre-K - 1st Grade Campers will spend time on the beautiful Allendale Columbia School's campus both inside and outside of the Art room for this one week experience. Natural materials found around AC's campus will be used to design and create artwork. Campers will also learn how to paint "en plein air" like the masters. Campers should come prepared for a variety of weather. We will take an afternoon snack break, so please send in a NUT FREE snack and water each day. Fee: $160 Camp Imagine Instructors: Justin and Katie Summons Ages: Nursery & Pre-K Based around storytelling, we will use our amazing minds to reimagine popular children’s stories through dance, dress-up, and fun imagination games. We will start the week storytelling and by the last day each child will have their very own story book. Using all-time favorite children's books your child will learn how to use their imagination to recreate their own story. We will use our art and craft skills to create costumes and use them to act out our own version of the story. We will explore the outdoors to promote and foster our imagination. Plan on playing lots of fun games and learning how we can use our imagination to create a whole new world! Please bring a nut-free snack and lunch and a pre-filled water bottle each day. Fee: $275 Summer Sports Camp Instructors: Tim Lewis and Aaron Wood Ages: 1st - 4th Grade Tim Lewis, AC's Girls Varsity Basketball coach, and Aaron Wood, Boys JV Basketball Coach and AC PE teacher, have decided to partner to provide students in our community with an opportunity to learn more about sports. We will be spending time teaching fundamentals and building skills while fostering relationships with the students of our community. The sports we will be focusing on during the week are Basketball, Baseball & Soccer. Fee: $225

Camp Descriptions June 27th - July 1st Debate Camp Instructor: SPARK Business Academy Ages: 3rd - 5th Grade Campers learn the art of persuasion and help select debate topics they find interesting. In a public forum format, campers work in groups and practice their debating skills in a supportive environment, including developing arguments, issuing rebuttals, providing examples, rebuilding their case and summarizing points of view. Campers learn to think on their feet and enhance their public-speaking skills, gaining self-confidence in the process. Fee $195 Nunchucks and Board Breaking Camp Instructor: Chrissy Colson Ages: 5th - 8th Grade Become the ninja you know you are! This summer camp teaches basic principles of nunchuck* use and introductory Tae Kwon Do. Learn a cool nunchuck routine! Break a board! Learn your first form! No prior experience necessary. *Safety nunchucks are provided, they are covered in foam and light weight. A nut-free snack and pre-filled water bottle should be brought to Nunchuck Camp! Each day. Attention all Fancy Friends!! Enjoy a fabulous week of fun based on the Fancy Nancy books by Jane O'Connor. The week will be filled with music, dance, art projects, fancy French words, dressing up, lots of glitter, sparkles, sequins, boas, and of course, the colors pink and purple. Be sure to wear your fancy clothes. Tiaras are welcome! Please bring a nut-free snack and lunch and a pre-filled water bottle each day. Fee $275 Camp Cobblestone Instructors: Barbie King and Lynn Grossman Ages: 4 - 12 years old Ms. Barbie King’s Camp Cobblestone is back for its 24th year! By popular demand, I’m bringing back movie inspired theme days. Each day we will focus on a different kid movie. During the week of June 27-July 1, we will focus on Minions, Wish Dragon, Ice Age, DC League of Super Pets, and Puff: Wonders of Reef. During the week of Aug. 15-19, we will focus on Encanto, Back to the Outback, SING, Star Wars, and Spirit. Each morning will consist of movie soundtracks and movement with Ms. Lynn Grossman/Ms. Amanda Meldrum, and art with Mr. Greg Lawson. Our afternoons will include STEM challenges with Ms. King and outdoor water play. We will also walk on the “wild side” on the AC nature trail where we will build tree structures, fairy houses, hunt for treasures in Allen’s Creek and create our very own forest trading post. Fee $320.00/Full Week, $80.00 per day, $45 per AM Half Day (8:00a.m. - 11:30a.m.), $45 per PM Half Day (11:30 a.m. 3:00p.m.)

Camp Descriptions July 11th -15th Young Diplomats Instructor: SPARK Business Academy Ages: K - 2nd Grade How cool would it be for you to be the boss at Apple or Nike for a day? In this leadership program, you can! Campers act as CEOs for leading companies and collaborate to make strategic recommendations to address real business issues. Case studies include popular companies and examine the role of female and minority CEOs. Campers enhance their problem-solving skills, develop business savvy and cultivate a strategic mindset as future leaders. Fee $195 Art & Science Collide Instructor: Shari Ellmaker Ages: 3rd - 5th Grade Campers will spend time on the beautiful Allendale Columbia School's campus both in the LS Art room and outside for this one week experience. Let's learn about science while we create original art together! Do you ever wonder about color, motion, light and more? Science and Art have direct impact on each other. Join me as we do experiments and explore art at the same time. Warning: Explosions will be colorful! We will take a morning snack break, so please send in a NUT FREE snack and water each day. Fee $160 Wonderland Yoga with Miss Wendy Instructor: Wendy Stumpf Ages: Pre-K - 6th Grade Campers will be able to learn the practices of yoga, mindfulness & meditation through the lens of our littlest to slightly older yogi's. We will focus & learn various yoga poses, as well as individual yoga and some partner yoga, breathing techniques, mindfulness & meditation practices. We will also plan to spend time outdoors for recess where we will take mindful walks around campus and the nature trail, as well as spend time on the playground daily. Campers will enjoy our snack outside, weather permitting. Snacks will need to be sent in daily for our yogi campers and would need to be a nut free snack and with a pre-filled water bottle. Each camper will also need to wear clothes* that they are able to move freely in to experience the yoga poses. They will also need to bring their own yoga mat. (*PLEASE No dresses, tunics, or any clothing that will inhibit their free movement. Thank you.) Fee $175 Miss Wendy is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) (and also and aide in our Pre-K classroom), where she has done various yoga trainings. Wendy's yoga trainings include: Breathe Yoga. Baptiste Yoga: Level 1, Level 2 and Art of Assisting. Midtown Athletic Club. Restorative Yoga Training with Judith Hanson Lasater. Children's Yoga with Kidding Around Yoga. As well as yoga and mindfulness trainings at Yoga Vibe. Miss Wendy has her AS in Early Childhood Education from Cazenovia College. Wendy also has training in Nutrition as a Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition
Camp Descriptions July 11th -15th cont'd Personal Finance Instructor: SPARK Business Academy Ages: 6th - 8th Grade Join us for this unique financial literacy camp with a different daily theme: personal finance, investments, entrepreneurship, leadership and innovation. Featured in Business Week, the Sun Gazette and International newspapers, this program empowers campers with essential 21st century skills and the ability to make sound financial decisions. Fee $195 Girls Basketball Skills & Drills Instructor: Tim Lewis Ages: 7th - 12th Grade My plan is to teach, develop, and offer youth players the opportunity to learn the fundamental skills of basketball while instilling life-lessons and values such as character, team work, discipline, respect and sportsmanship. Our philosophy is to provide as many youth athletes in our community the opportunity and chance to develop their skills, learn life lessons and enjoy the game of basketball. Opportunities are available for a recreational player looking to enhance their skills while playing for fun or to give them the confidence to tryouts for one of our HAC programs, or provide an opportunity for someone who is already playing competitively, to gain more knowledge and skills. Fee $150 AC Day Camp Week 1 Instructor: Justin and Katie Summons Ages: K - 6th Grade The Allendale Columbia School's AC Day Camp is a 4-week summer program for campers ages 5 - 12 years old to experience a summer of play, field trips and exploration with friends and counselors. Campers will enjoy different themed weeks and the possibility of field trips mixed in. Campers can attend single weeks or the entire summer. A nut-free snack, a nut-free lunch and pre-filled water bottle should be brought each day. Fee $295 a week, or 4-week pass for $1000 Photography Instructor: Lori Wun Ages: 5th - 10th Grade Explore photography from a to z by zooming in on birds and wildlife with a DSLR, making yourself fly in Photoshop, or creating retro Polaroid prints. Attendees will have access to a variety of cameras, from digital to film, to shoot incredible images. We will create projects in our extensive digital art lab and art studio while taking daily fun photo excursions, including a field trip to the zoo or Highland Park. Students will finish the course with a collection of artwork, prints, and digital images to take home. All supplies and trips are included. Return students are welcome! A nut-free snack, a nut-free lunch and pre-filled water bottle should be brought to Digital Photography each day. All campers should bring an extra mask. Fee $395
Camp Descriptions July 11th -15th cont'd Medieval Times - Knights, Princesses, and plagues, oh my! Instructor: Tracey Van Naald Ages: 8th - 3rd - 9th Grade Are you obsessed with the Medieval era? Participate in a week of Medieval fun where you can be a knight, a princess, a viking...or all three. Join us as we capture dragons, search for treasure, joust for glory, build and defend castles, and design our own shields. Learn the tricks of the trade from a successful court jester, send notes in Viking runes, and escape the plague unharmed. Campers should bring a nut-free snack, nut-free lunch and pre-filled water bottle. Fee $320

Camp Descriptions July 18th - 22nd My First Lemonade Stand Instructor: SPARK Business Academy Ages: K - 2nd Grade Let's sell lemonade! Young campers become "lemonade entrepreneurs" and learn how to make yummy lemonade and earn money selling it! From designing marketing flyers to estimating profits to experimenting with recipes, campers have fun all week while developing business savvy. As a showcase event, campers launch the lemonade stand on Friday to raise money for a charity they select! Fee $195
AC Lego Challenge Instructor: Tracey Vandernaald Ages: 3rd - 9th Grade Are you a LEGO fan? Do you want to explore the world of LEGO? If so, come join us as we complete a series of LEGO building challenges. Recreate a famous landmark, design a monument for a historical figure, build a scene from your favorite book or movie...the opportunities are endless! Enjoy building while learning valuable skills in engineering, physics, storytelling, and collaboration. Fee $175 Sports Management Instructor: SPARK Business Academy Ages: 3rd - 5th Grade For the sports lover, future team General Manager, sports team owner or ESPN analyst, this unique program helps campers view the world of sports from a business prospective. Campers participate in fun mock drafts for various sports and analyze different sports topics, including the value of sports teams, player competition, college sports, endorsements, the Nike vs Under Armour competition, sports agents, the Super Bowl, e-sports and more! Build an iconic set or flex those creative muscles and design your own (MOC) which you will bring to life using stop motion animation. At the end of the week each student will have created their own mini-LEGO film. Fee $175 AC Day Camp Week 2 Instructor: Justin and Katie Summons Ages: K - 6th Grade The Allendale Columbia School's AC Day Camp is a 4-week summer program for campers ages 5 - 12 years old to experience a summer of play, field trips and exploration with friends and counselors. Well, hop on board with this new and exciting camp that will focus on a variety of techniques in clay! From hand building to coil construction to slab construction, to color theory. This workshop will challenge your creativity while allowing you the freedom to express your personality in a 3 dimensional form. We will use the natural environment for our inspiration and clay as our tool! Join Greg on this journey as we embark on a thrilling adventure in clay! A nut-free lunch, snack, and water bottle should be brought to camp each day. All campers will be required to wear a mask unless eating or drinking and during frequent mask breaks. Fee $225 Fairies & Pixie Dust Instructor: Tammy Crowe Ages: Pre-K - 2nd Grade Come and explore the enchanting and magical land of fairies. This week will be filled with music, dance, art projects, dress-up and pixie dust. We will make our own fairy houses, fairy wands, and various other magical creations as we have fun trying to uncover the mystical world of fairies. Our final class will lead us to an exciting Fairy Scavenger Hunt Adventure! Fairy wings are welcome!! Please bring a nut-free snack and lunch and a prefilled water bottle each day. Fee $275
Camp Descriptions July 18th - 22nd cont'd Allendale Columbia Theater (ACT): Summer Stage! Instructor: Amanda Meldrum-Stevenson Ages: K - 2nd Grade Campers will spend the week having a blast while they experience the wonderful world of singing, dancing and acting on stage! They will spend each day actively learning the foundations of performing through drama games, sing-a-longs and movement activities, culminating in a spectacular showcase at the end of the week! We will be dabbling in songs and scenes from stage and screen favorites!! (*Performance July 22nd Time TBD) Fee $275 Allendale Columbia Theater (ACT): Summer Stage! (July 18th - July 29th, 2 Weeks) Instructor: Amanda Meldrum-Stevenson Ages: 6th - 12th Grade Participants will spend two weeks focusing on the entire theatrical process from start to finish. They will collaborate to build their own production from top to bottom! Each participant has the option of an ON-STAGE or OFF-STAGE focus. Both groups will also have opportunities to mentor the younger campers from the ACT K-2 and 3-5 throughout the week. (*Performance July 29th Time TBD) Fee $495 ON-STAGE: Performers unite! The first week will contain workshops on auditioning, vocal/physical exercise and maintenance, choosing repertoire, experiencing a dance call, etc. The second week, participants will start to build their scenes and songs, while working with the OFF-STAGE crew, to create their final performance at the end of the week! OFF-STAGE: If you have ever wanted to learn how to make the lights pretty on the stage, or run the sound in a theatre, this is the camp for you!! The first week will contain workshops with local experts in the various technical theatre and design fields such as sound, lighting, scenic, costume, stage management and more. The second week, participants will collaborate with the performers from the ON-STAGE camp, and get the chance to design and run all of the technical aspects of the final showcase! **A one-week option is available for ACT 6-12, for $275, although two weeks is recommended for the full experience.

My First Food Truck Instructor: SPARK Business Academy Ages: 3rd - 5th Grade Campers select a food theme, choose an ideal location, identify target customers, design appealing menus, and form a comprehensive business plan covering strategy, marketing, operations and finance, including capital-raising needs. Activities include drafting mission statements, setting prices, estimating expenses and learning key financial metrics. This program offers a tasty way to develop business savvy! Fee $295 a week, or a 4-week pass for $1000 Intro to Photoshop Instructor: Greg Lawson Ages: 6th - 12th Grade Students will use Adobe Photoshop to create their own digital works of art! Some of the projects include: vegetable and fruit monster mashups, bedroom design, and superhero creation and much much more! Students will create their own digital art series that they will be able to print and take home. A nut-free lunch, snack, and water bottle should be brought to camp each day. All campers will be required to wear a mask unless eating or drinking and during frequent mask breaks. Fee $150 Hogwarts AC Wizard Camp Instructor: Tracey Vandernaald Ages: 3rd - 9th Grade Immerse yourself into the world of Harry Potter. As a first year student at Hogwarts AC, you should expect to receive your acceptance letter two weeks before you begin your journey to Hogwarts AC. Upon arrival to the school you will be sorted into houses by the sorting hat and given your robes. You will also be choosing your wand and naming your owl. As first year students you will be taking the following seven courses: Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, History of Magic, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Astronomy and Herbology. Flying lessons (on broomsticks) are also obligatory as students will need to demonstrate superior flying skills to succeed at Quidditch and win the house cup. Join fellow wizards and witches as we compete for the House Cup through challenges like retrieving the Sorcerer’s Stone, a Horcrux scavenger hunt, Harry Potter Trivia, daily Quidditch matches and much more. Camp Descriptions August 1st - August 5th Young Fashionistas Instructor: SPARK Business Academy Ages: K - 2nd Grade In this stylish program for boys and girls, campers gain knowledge of the fashion industry and develop skills in fashion design, fashion marketing, fashion journalism and branding. Campers develop sketching skills, explore popular brands, analyze industry trends, design various articles of clothing, define their own brand, explore careers in fashion and more! Fee $195 Wonderland Yoga with Miss Wendy Instructor: Wendy Stumpf Ages: Pre-K - 6th Grade Campers will be able to learn the practices of yoga, mindfulness & meditation through the lens of our littlest to slightly older yogi's. We will focus & learn various yoga poses, as well as individual yoga and some partner yoga, breathing techniques, mindfulness & meditation practices. We will also plan to spend time outdoors for recess where we will take mindful walks around campus and the nature trail, as well as spend time on the playground daily. Campers will enjoy our snack outside, weather permitting. Snacks will need to be sent in daily for our yogi campers and would need to be a nut free snack and with a pre-filled water bottle. Each camper will also need to wear clothes* that they are able to move freely in to experience the yoga poses. They will also need to bring their own yoga mat. (*PLEASE No dresses, tunics, or any clothing that will inhibit their free movement. Thank you.) Fee $175 Miss Wendy is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) (and also and aide in our Pre-K classroom), where she has done various yoga trainings. Wendy's yoga trainings include: Breathe Yoga. Debate Camp Instructor: SPARK Business Academy Ages: 6th - 8th Grade Campers learn the art of persuasion and help select debate topics they find interesting. In a public forum format, campers work in groups and practice their debating skills in a supportive environment, including developing arguments, issuing rebuttals, providing examples, rebuilding their case and summarizing points of view. Campers learn to think on their feet and enhance their public-speaking skills, gaining self-confidence in the process. Fee $195
Camp Descriptions August 1st - August 5th AC Day Camp Week 4: Instructor: Tim Lewis Ages: K - 6th Grade The Allendale Columbia School's AC Day Camp is a 4-week summer program for campers ages 5 - 12 years old to experience a summer of play, field trips and exploration with friends and counselors. Campers will enjoy different themed weeks and the possibility of field trips mixed in. Campers can attend single weeks or the entire summer. A nut-free snack, a nut-free lunch and pre-filled water bottle should be brought each day. Fee $295, or a 4-week pass for $1000 Let's Jam! Ukulele and Classroom Instrument Camp Instructor: Lynn Grossman Ages: 4th - 6th Grade Love to collaborate with friends through creative music-making and games? This innovative program provides a solid foundation on financial literacy for kids in a fun setting. Games and hands-on activities help campers internalize key concepts (like money, budgeting and saving) in an engaging and supportive environment fostering teamwork. This unique experience empowers campers with the mindset to start making sound financial decisions and develop into responsible global citizens. Fee $195 Creative Drawing Adventures Instructor: Shari Ellmaker Ages: 3rd - 5th Grade Do you love to draw? Are you ever scared of a blank piece of paper? Do you fall somewhere in the middle? Summer artists will have a great time while learning how to draw a variety of subjects. This one-week course will help your creativity and confidence grow! Join me and explore the world of drawing! We will take a morning snack break, so please send in a NUT FREE snack and water each day. Fee $160 Baseball/Softball Skills Camp Instructor: Aaron Wood Ages: 2nd - 6th Grade (9am - 11:30am*) and 7th - 12th Grade (12pm - 2:30pm*) Baseball/Softball skill camp is orchestrated in a way to help instruct and teach all the fundamentals of baseball and softball. The primary goal is to teach campers how to improve their game. Skills such as fielding, hitting, base-running and team play are taught, in addition to building your campers' confidence and teaching them good sportsmanship. Through drill work and countless repetitions, players will have a chance to gain knowledge in every facet of the game! We will introduce strategies and tactics related to baseball/softball and allow kids to explore these skills during gameplay. If you are looking to improve your skill set, this camp is for you! Camp Descriptions August 8th - August 12th cont'd Dazzling Dyes Instructor: Lynn Grossman Ages: 4th - 6th Grade Throughout history, many cultures have created elaborate and beautiful crafts using dyes and dye-resist techniques. From Indonesia (Batik), Japan (Shibori), and Ukraine (Pysanky eggs) we can find many examples of how various materials, such as wax or twine can create elaborate designs on a dyed surface. Campers in the Dazzling Dyes session will explore strategies for how to use dye resists to create their own colorful Batik fabric, an indigo-dyed Shibori bandana, and delicate Ukrainian pysanky eggs. Campers who love drawing, designing, and trying new mediums will love this colorful session! Fee $165

AC Flag Football Instructor: Aaron Wood Ages: 1st - 5th Grade (9am - 11:30am*) and 6th - 12th Grade (12pm - 2:30pm*) Flag football skills camp provides athletes with an opportunity to try all positions. Participants will rotate through a variety of drill stations to practice fundamental skills of all positions. Athletes will get a chance to test out their new skills in age/size/talent appropriate flag football games. Campers will learn skills on both sides of the ball including the core components of passing, catching, and de-flagging or defensive positioning, all presented in a fun and positive environment. Campers should bring cleats, a light snack and a water bottle. Fee $150
Camp Descriptions August 15th - August 19th cont'd Sports Management Instructor: SPARK Business Academy Ages: 3rd - 5th Grade For the sports lover, future team General Manager, sports team owner or ESPN analyst, this unique program helps campers view the world of sports from a business prospective. Campers participate in fun mock drafts for various sports and analyze different sports topics, including the value of sports teams, player competition, college sports, endorsements, the Nike vs Under Armour competition, sports agents, the Super Bowl, e-sports and more! Fee $195 Common Application Bootcamp *Please note this camp will meet from 3 - 5 p.m. Instructors: Kristin Cocquyt & Emily Nevinger Ages: 12th Grade Get a head start on your college application process and finish your Common Application (including the essay!) before senior year. Your instructors - Emily Nevinger and Kristin Cocquyt have over 30 years of admissions experience with highly selective colleges and will work with you to prepare a comprehensive and compelling Common Application that can be used to apply to nearly 1,000 colleges and universities. Ms. Barbie King’s Camp Cobblestone is back for its 24th year! During the week of Aug. 15-19, we will focus on Encanto, Back to the Outback, SING, Star Wars, and Spirit. Each morning will consist of movie soundtracks and movement with Ms. Lynn Grossman/Ms. Amanda Meldrum, and art with Mr. Greg Lawson. Our afternoons will include STEM challenges with Ms. King and outdoor water play. We will also walk on the “wild side” on the AC nature trail where we will build tree structures, fairy houses, hunt for treasures in Allen’s Creek and create our very own forest trading post. Fee $320.00/Full Week, $80.00 per day, $45 per AM Half Day (8:00a.m. 11:30a.m.), $45 per PM Half Day (11:30 a.m. - 3:00p.m.)
Camp Alpha Instructor: Dan Deckman Ages: 6th - 12th Grade Camp Alpha is designed for new and returning cross country athletes of all levels to prepare for the fall season ahead. The camp gives athletes and teammates a chance to get a head start on the official season with some engaging conditioning work together. But Camp Alpha is about more than just running. It also provides an opportunity to participate in more intensive learning about the sport and related skills through clinics, and allows us to partake in focused team-bonding activities. Each day will begin with a warm-up routine and some type of running workout. Camp sessions will also include instruction on proper stretching, injury prevention, mobility exercises, core strengthening, mental toughness, yoga, proper warm-ups/cool-downs, etc. There will also be 1-2 interactive clinics each day covering relevant topics (one during lunch), including presentations by special guest speakers. Fee $75
