Course delivery: Courses starting in September have been planned for classroom-based delivery in our centres.

Should our centres need to close, we have online courses that will replace the current curriculum. Learners will be contacted with full details and supported throughout.

This brochure tells you about our courses and the centres that are available. Please have a look at our learning opportunities and choose what subjects would be right for you.

Are you a new learner? Please call 0345 603 7635 to book a face to face meeting. Please look at page 5 to find out what you need to bring to this appointment.

If you are already on a course with us, your tutor will look at your progress and help you decide on your next steps. Your tutor will approve your course choices so you can enrol.

If you do not see your tutor, please call 0345 603 7635 and ask for a supported learning telephone call and a member of staff will call you back. You may be asked to attend an appointment.

It is important to us that you feel safe while you are learning.

We support your welfare by asking you to complete a form.

This will be done at your appointment or we will update this over the phone. Please make sure you have someone with you, who can help you with this form.

Our staff are trained in Safeguarding and Prevent to help make our centres safe places to learn. We provide equal access to our services for everyone.

We offer lots of courses to help you be more creative, support you with your health and wellbeing and social skills.

We will help you set and achieve individual goals.

We have a range of courses designed for all learners including sensory, creative craft, sports and wellbeing.

Introduction

Aspirational Learning

Some of these courses may help you move into qualification courses or courses within the mainstream curriculum.

You will need to pay money for these courses.

Vocational programmes of study If you want to work towards voluntary or paid employment you may join one of our Employability programmes of study. These courses may be free if you meet the criteria.

Entry to Employability (2.5 days per week) This programme is aimed at our Entry Level 1 and 2 learners that are beginning to look at getting a job.

In this programme you will take classes in English and maths for work, digital skills for work and learn important employability skills that will prepare you for work. You will also take part in a class in either drama or sports based activities to support your confidence and self esteem.

Introduction

Pathways to Employability (2.5 days per week) This programme is the next step towards employment and is aimed at our Entry Level 2 and 3 learners. This course allows you to trial different jobs in order to make a more informed choice about the type of work you may like to do. You will take classes in English and maths for work, digital skills for work, vocational studies as well as another class in either drama or sports based activities to support your confidence and self esteem.

Access to Employability (3.5 days per week) This programme is the final step toward getting a job and is aimed at Entry Level 3 learners. This course allows you to gain ‘real world’ skills in your chosen vocational area. You will take classes in English and maths, digital skills, looking after me (to help you to develop your independence, confidence and resilience), chosen vocational area and another class in either drama or sports based activities.

You will have an opportunity to work towards Gateway qualifications along with developing your own personal targets which will help you grow as a person.

During your course you will be given help and advice to make the next step into employment or voluntary work. This will include talking to other agencies, careers advisors and employers.
