Hello, we are the Year 7 English class and we have created a magazine especially for ACG School Jakarta Years 4-6 students.

There are many sections in this magazine such as animals, gaming, movie reviews, sports and many more fun and interesting topics. We hope that you learn lots and have fun reading our magazine, as we had a great time making it.

Did you know that there are one-two million species of animals? It's true! They are all around us, everywhere in the world. Everyone's heard of dogs, cats and rabbits, but have you heard of quokkas? In this article we will talk about six underrated animals that deserve to go viral.

1. Quokkas Quokkas are Australian marsupials which are known for their smile. Quokkas are also known as short-tailed scrub wallabies and are a member of the macropod family. They are herbivores and live in Rottnest Island, Australia. They are also very friendly making them perfect for selfies!

2. Fennec Foxes

Fennec foxes are the smallest type of foxes. They are very tiny in size, only 9.5-16 inches long, but they have enormous ears. They live in the deserts of North Africa. They are nocturnal animals and live in small groups. Their size and ears make them one of the cutest animals in the world.

3. Ferrets Ferrets are small, furry creatures which can be kept as pets. They are in the same category as weasels and in the wild they live in grassy places. They are carnivores and nocturnal animals. If you are looking for a pet, check these guys out!

4. Sea Otters Sea otters are aquatic animals and believe it or not, they are related to ferrets! You can find them along the coasts of the Pacific Ocean. They are now an endangered species, so we need to take care of them. Also, when they sleep, they hold each other’s hands, so they don't float away. How adorable!

5. Mouse Lemurs Mouse lemurs are the smallest primates on earth. They are found on the island of Madagascar, high up in the trees. They are nocturnal animals, and they like to eat both plants and insects. They have big round eyes which are super adorable. Have a look yourself!

6. Pygmy Goats Pygmy goats are the smallest goats and they come from Africa. They come in lots of colours and are super short. They grow up to only 15-20 inches at shoulder height. They are herbivores, meaning they only eat plants.

Minecraft is a video game in which players create and break apart various kinds of blocks in a three-dimensional world. The game’s two main modes are Survival and Creative. Dream is one of the best YouTubers that plays Minecraft and the most famous YouTuber that plays Minecraft is Pew Die Pie. You can play multiplayer in with your Vfriends or play solo. Here are our 5 ways to improve your skills in Minecraft.

1. Create equipment for your survival You need to make sure you can survive so, it’s important you create equipment. The most important things you need are a shovel, a pickaxe, an axe and full armour. You can make these things using leather, iron, gold and diamonds.

2. Defend yourself from the mobs It’s important you have equipment to defend yourself when you are fighting mobs. Mobs are zombies, skeletons and cave spiders. The most important things you would need to with fight a mob is a shield, full armour, a sword or an axe.

3. Where you can find ores You need ores to craft different things. You can find ores in many different places. Coal and iron are found in caves. You can also find gold in caves but much deeper. Emeralds are a bit tricky to find in caves, and it's deeper than gold. Diamonds can be found at ocean levels.

4. Where to find food Food is easy to find. The foods you can find are mutton, porkchops, salmon, steak, fruits and vegetables. If you need to hunt animals, you should use a sword because it's much easier and if you use nothing it would take a long time. You can find animals in the forest.

You can find fruit in the oak trees, and vegetables in the village, or you can farm the vegetables yourself.

5. Build a good house If you want to build a good house you must make it strong, so mobs can’t get in. If you want it make it safe you need to put a lot of lights everywhere so mobs can’t spawn.

Spawn is when mobs appear randomly. If you want your house to be strong you need to put some things to protect your house like iron golems or snow golems.

So, these are our 5 tips. We hope that this helps you to become a better Minecraft player!

Movie Review

Do you like watching movies? Well, we do! We've watched an amazing movie recently called Over the Moon.

Over the Moon is a fantasy, children’s film, released on October 16th, 2020. It is directed by Glen Keane and it’s for children over 6 years.

This movie takes place in China. The main characters are Fei Fei, who sells mooncakes with her father, and Chin, who is 8 years old and is quite mischievous and the Moon Goddess, who is called Chang’e.

Over The Moon has an interesting plot. Fei Fei’s mother died when she was young. When Fei Fei was a child, her mother would tell her a story about the Moon Goddess Chang’e. Chang’e accidently drank a magic potion and flew to the Moon, leaving her true love on Earth.

This story was Fei Fei and her mother’s favourite story. Now Fei Fei sells mooncakes with her father.

One day, after Fei Fei delivered the moon cakes, Mrs Zhong, came to the shop. Fei Fei’s father was going to remarry Mrs Zhong, and she was very upset. Fei Fei thought that her father once believed in true love, and if Fei Fei could find the Moon Goddess, she thought that her father would not marry Mrs Zhong. So, Fei Fei built a rocket ship to go to the Moon to find the Moon Goddess.

Chin sneaked on to the rocket ship and things began to go wrong. The voice actors of this movie are from China and America. Phillipa Soo for Chang’e, Cathy Ang for Fei Fei, Sandra Oh for Mrs. Zhong and Robert G for Chin.

We really enjoyed watching this movie. It has beautiful and exciting songs that will make you dance!

Whether you have a fluffy bunny or a cute little puppy, you should take care of them so they can feel like they’re part of your family.

Here are our top tips to help you treat your pet well.

Make sure to feed your pet when it’s hungry

Don’t forget to feed your pet! If you don’t feed your pet it will be very hungry. Also, don’t feed your pets the wrong food, such as candies, chocolates or normal human food, because it can be bad for your pets and make them sick or have stomach aches. If you ever try and feed them that type of food, make sure to do a little research to make sure it’s suitable to your pet.

Play with your pet so it’s happy If you play with your pet, it gets active, happy and healthy because it doesn’t just sit around all day. Your pet will be very bored and down because it barely does anything.

There are different ways to play with different pets, for example don’t play tag with your fish because fish can’t run!

Don’t hurt your pet in any way!

Do you want to get hurt? No! And your pet feels the same. They have feelings too so don’t hurt their feelings or their body. For example, don’t take your fish out of the water or don’t hit your dog.

Take care of your pet if it’s sick

Give your pet water if it’s dehydrated or if there are some bruises take it to the vet to get them treated. Don’t leave your pet in pain when it’s sick, instead make it feel better. Pick the right medicine for pets and don’t ever give human medicine.

Let it run around and be free If your pet is something like a dog or a cat, take it on walks or let it run around in an open space. If you leave your pet in the cage for a long time it will make it feel very miserable and make it feel like it's trapped.

Treat your pet how you want to be treated Pets are living things too; you should give them love and attention because that’s something you would want. Don’t do things to them that you wouldn’t want people to do to you.

Did you watch the match between Bayern Munich and Al Alhy? Well, if you didn't Lewandowski scored 2 goals and sent Bayern to the World Club Final! His goals got a 2-0 victory over Al Ahly.

What mainly happened in the match?

The match was all about Bayern Munich, since they scored both the goals in the match. They had the ball for almost the whole match.

Lewandowski scored both his goals very early in the match. They had a lot of chances to score, but they were not able to score.

Mainly, Bayern Munich was the boss of this match.

Fun Fact: Did you know, Lewandowski’s FIFA‘s (Federation International de Football Association) rating is extremely high at 91! That is one of the highest ratings in FIFA showing how he is such a good player!

Staying healthy is hard to do right now due to the pandemic. You might be staying indoors, but that’s not as good as the outdoors where you have fresh air and nature all around you. You may be missing your friends and probably haven’t left the house in a while.

Have your daily routines changed? Do you know that keeping healthy is not just about eating healthy or exercising? In this article, we’ll give your some ideas about how to live healthy during the pandemic.

During these times, we need to think about our mental health. Some examples could be taking a break from social media, chatting online and not spending too spend on your devices. You can also have screen breaks, talk to people you trust if you’re feeling worried, and take care of yourself: brush teeth every day, take showers, eat healthy food. Just try to do things that keep you healthy.

You also need to exercise because we are at home and can’t go to the gym. You could take walks outside your house for 15-20 minutes, and whenever you see trees and plants, try to take your mask off to breath in fresh oxygen, if no people are around. You could also try swimming because it makes your muscles and heart stronger. You should also make sure you are eating healthy food daily, for example, eat lots of fruit and vegetables.

Also drinking water is a good way to stay healthy because your body needs lots of water.

Remember, being healthy isn’t always about having a healthy body. You also need to eat healthy and exercise. It also means having a positive mind towards other people and yourself. by Rafa First up, we have our savoury meal, a mouth-watering caprese with avocado that will make you crave for it every single day!

Ingredients

2 whole wheat tortillas ½ cup or so of fresh arugula leaves 1 ball fresh mozzarella cheese sliced basil leaves olive oil balsamic vinegar kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

Instructions: 1. Layer slices of tomato, mozzarella cheese and avocado on 1/3 of the tortilla.

2. Add a few torn pieces of basil leaves then drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

3. Season with kosher salt and pepper.

4. Fold the tortilla in thirds and serve!

Instructions: 1. Take one tortilla and spread 2 teaspoons of peanut butter and spread it out.

2. Place one banana near the edge of the tortilla and roll it up.

3. Slice into 1/2 inch circles and serve.

4. Tip: If your tortilla bread is stiff, you can put it in the microwave in between two pieces of moist paper towel and heat for 15-20 seconds or until softened.

Origami was invented in China around 105 A.D. The paper was introduced to Japan in the 6th century. The folding of Origami cranes, was first seen in a book

by Akisato Rito, published in Japan in 1797. In addition, do you know why Origami is square? Because, square has vertical lines and diagonal lines, so it is easy to make various products.

Benefits of Origami There are some benefits of doing Origami. First your hands and fingers can become more flexible because you need to fold and put edges together carefully. Also, you can become more focused. If you fold Origami facing one piece of paper, you need to concentrate.

Techniques of Origami Origami techniques are folding; valley/mountain folds, inside reverse folds, squash folds, and petal folds. Valley/mountain is to fold like a triangle. For inside reverse fold, you must push the tip down so that it is in between the 2 sides of paper. Those are the basic folding techniques.

Folding Tips There are 3 tips for Origami. First fold each step very well, so that you can make things well. Second, it is very important to follow the instruction, so read each description carefully, and look at each picture closely. Third, be patient when making Origami. Also, I don’t recommend rushing Origami. We must stay focused and realize what we must do next. Have fun making Origami!
