WINGS NEWSLETTER Vol 14, Term Four, Week Four, 08 November 2019 Dear Parents and Friends of Sunderland As I write this newsletter today, the Year Four class is at Moto Moana Scout camp, Blockhouse Bay, at their annual class camp. Our Year Seven students are out on a Science trip, visiting the shores of Long Bay with Mrs Barlow and Mrs Tyler. Outdoor Education is a highlight here at ACG Sunderland, which brings me to my next point; the Year Six to Year Eleven camps commence Monday week [25-27 November], I hope the weather is as good for these campers as it has been this week. Students and staff alike, are preparing for their time away. Last night with the Year Seven Transition to College evening with over 100 in attendance. A mix of new parents and students and our current Year Six community experienced an outline of the “Sunderland Way”, how Cambridge works, and how we support your children pastorally. For the College, three speakers from Year Seven give some insight into the life here at Sunderland. The PowerPoint presented on the night is available if required. • Keshalia Nelson, Eric Mironov and Amelia Lee spoke about their experiences moving from Year Six to Year Seven this year.
