WINGS NEWSLETTER Vol 15, Term One, Week Six, 6 March 2020

Dear Parents and Friends of Sunderland Last Friday was the annual Parents and Friends Picnic and what a great success it was, with hundreds of parents and students in attendance.

It was an opportunity for the entire Sunderland community to get together and relax and enjoy the school facilities over a balmy late summer evening.

Ms Lauren Fraser, our Enrolment Manager, took on the management of this event, doing a superb job in organising with her team and the College Student Leaders too. There were more food choices this year with a good variety of activities for children too.

It certainly was an evening of entertainment galore; the very busy clown, the joy of dunking students, the many stalls run by students, the music, bouncy castles, face painting and catching up with friends.

Thank you again for your support of this event.

On Monday a large number of students attended the Auckland City Art Gallery with nearly 80 people [students and staff] in attendance. By all accounts it was an excellent day. Thank you to Mrs Carter for organising, I know the students find this a very rewarding and fruitful trip.

This Saturday is the first Open Day of the year and an opportunity for friends and family to come in and visit our school.

I wish to take the opportunity to thank in advance, the students who will be giving up their day to assist us on the day by being guides to our visitors. We are all confident of a highly successful day.
