INTRODUCING OUR NEW TRUSTEES
from TFN Autumn 2022
Earlier this year, we asked member organisations to vote for new trustees to join our board. Thank you to everyone who voted. We welcomed the following people to our trustee board at our AGM in June.
Daniela is a director of the JAC Trust, an independent grant-making trust focusing on climate change and displaced people. She’s responsible for delivering the funding programme and works with the trustees to develop the strategic direction of the trust.

Daniela’s background is in international development and she brings a wealth of charity sector experience to this role. She has a MSc in Grant-making and NGO Management from Cass Business School and a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Bonn. Daniela is also a trustee of the Samworth Foundation.
in volunteerism, youth empowerment and digital transformation, Jamie is a passionate advocate for how technology can enable community change. Jamie co-founded Do-it.org, the UK’s first digital volunteering service. They also served as CEO of the Do IT Foundation, a digitally-powered grantmaker that supports small and micro voluntary organisations, which they set up in 2018. Previous roles include assistant director, Community Participation at the Home Office and marketing and communications director for online youth advice charity, The Mix. Jamie is also a trustee of the mental health charity, London Cyrenians Housing.
Amnesty International, the United Nations Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Trials, and the Cambodian Center for Human Rights.
Rupert is a member of the advisory board at the Future Forum think tank in Southeast Asia and a member of the supervisory board of Climate Counsel, which pursues environmental and climate justice through international criminal law.

Jamie is chair of the Co-op Foundation, a leading funder in tackling youth loneliness. A social entrepreneur known for innovation
Rupert Abbott
Rupert is the executive director of GiveOut, the international LGBTQI community foundation. He has over 15 years’ experience in human rights and developing not-for-profit organisations. He co-founded the human rights experts’ hub RightsStart and has held senior roles with the Human Rights House Foundation,
Rachel has been working in the Scottish charity sector since 2009. She is the director of The RS Macdonald Charitable Trust, an endowed trust which gives grants to charities operating in Scotland working across several funding themes. Through values-led leadership, Rachel seeks to offer creative and effective grant-making which supports charities to bring forward best practice and deliver on their ambitions.
