Setting off on the last mission of their second tour, ‘Bud’ Anderson and ‘Chuck’ Yeager of the 357th Fighter Group wanted to make it memorable With the war drawing to a close and little chance of contact with the Luftwaffe, they left formation and sent sight-seeing!

Anthony superbly recreates the scene at ‘Target X’ – the codename originally given to the Möhne dam – on the night of the famous Dambuster Raids of 16/17 May 1943. With Wing Commander Guy Gibson drawing fire to his starboard side, Squadron Leader ‘Dinghy’ Young, flying Lancaster AJ-A, completes his attack.

This breath-taking print carries the original autographs of SIX famous Dambuster veterans and has been framed to include a fragment of Dambuster Lancaster AJ-M and museum quality reproduction RAF wings.

Keith’s superb piece serves as a tribute to all those who took part in the Battle of Britain during the long summer of 1940. Here, with the intensity of air fighting growing, Sergeant Don Kingaby and pilots of 266 Squadron ready their Mk.I Spitfires at Tangmere before the next mission of the day.
Richard’s inspired piece depicts a lone Lancaster that has fallen behind the main formation after being badly damaged by flak over Germany. The exhausted pilot has somehow coaxed the battered aircraft onward, finally bringing into view the snow-clad landscape of England below.
Our expert team have framed this copy to full conservation standards to include a fragment of Spitfire P9469 of 222 Sqn which was shot down near Salehurst, East Sussex, during the battle.
Adding great provenance, the print has been personally autographed by two distinguished WWII veterans who flew with RAF Bomber Command and framed to full conservation standards to include reproduction ‘sweetheart’ RAF wings.

This evocative piece captures the moment veterans of the Battle of the Bulge pay their respects to close friends and lost members of the U.S. 101st Airborne Division. At the same time they sense the presence of the ghosts of their fallen comrades. The men later agreed that their time in the cemetery, as captured in the artwork, was one of their most emotional moments since leaving Europe in 1945. Honoring all those who served with the U.S. 8th Air Force, this memorable print has been personally signed by no less than ten highly-regarded veterans who flew B-17s with the 100th and expertly framed to include an 8th AF patch and a further five original autographs of some of the most famous B-17 veterans to serve during WWII including the Pilot of the famous Memphis Belle and a recipient of the Medal of Honor.

Officially licensed as a faithful reproduction of the original, which is held in the Public Records Office in London, only a limited number have ever been produced. It covers the period from 15 November 1940, with the first written entry an ‘aileron / elevator test’ on a 29 Squadron Blenheim, and records all of his subsequent flights up to the ‘air test’ of a P-38 Lightning on 16 September 1944. Three days later, on 19 September, Gibson was killed piloting a Mosquito over Holland. For Dambuster enthusiasts, however, the most important entries are those leading up to and including the mission that took place on the 16 / 17 May 1943 – the night he led the Lancasters of 617 Squadron on Operation Chastise, the legendary raid for which his leadership and conspicuous bravery led to the award of the Victoria Cross.

After another perilous night-time mission over northern France, Lancasters of 106 Squadron – whose motto was ‘For Freedom’ – return to their Lincolnshire airfield, summer 1944. As the morning mist clears, an expanse of brightly coloured poppies joyfully heralds the return of the exhausted crews.
Spitfires from 92 Squadron return to their new base at Biggin Hill in early September 1940. As if in tribute to fallen comrades, a bright swathe of flowering corn poppies greet their thunderous arrival.
