It’s been a long winter, hasn’t it? Sometimes it feels like spring will never get
here… but when it does, it really puts on a show! Here in “The Gorge” cold, icy
snow is melting into the creeks, feeding gorgeous waterfalls and swelling the
ancient New River to some of the biggest water levels of the year.
On the shorelines and cliffsides tender sprouts of spring wildflowers are
emerging while colorful buds swell on the tree-lined cliffs. The days are getting
longer, the air is getting warmer, and the outdoors are calling you.
This spring, shake off your cabin fever and join us in the New River Gorge National
Park and Preserve. It’s time for an adventure!
