Literature Review
The resources used in the literature review will examine the relationship between creating supportive routines and the resultant change in behavior. According to Walker and Barry (2017), introducing the right timely intervention strategies leads to improvement in problematic behavior. The research also shows that for consistency in implementation, the family, guardians and teachers must be involved in the process. Garbacz et al. (2015) further reiterate these findings in their research, which highlights the role of family and schoolwide involvement in the process of behavioral support and interventions. The authors assert that BIP should be performed systematically.
The research by Feldman et al. (2013) finds that when assessments are performed accurately and the implementation is also done correctly, BIP effectively solves behavioral problems. Mohr et al. (2013) further support research on BIP by examining the role of technology in addressing problematic behaviors. Technology is important to the process because it facilitates more efficient communication among the parties involved in implementing the BIP. The research by Gitlin (2013) examines the challenges that may be experienced when introducing a new intervention and how to overcome them.
