Personal Statement
My strong career dreams of serving in the medical fraternity have been nurtured since my early childhood days, and through my study period as a scholar. Initially, my interests were to study pharmacy but gradually developed stronger interests to become a Physician Assistant. My greatest motivation towards this change of stance was mainly invoked by strong love to cure patients, as well as my deep seated urge to educate people on health issues that upset them. It is indeed challenging to pursue this professional career but my commitments are stronger to ensure that my dreams turn out to be true in the long run. I have endured numerous typical life challenges for the last three years during which I continued to work while at the same time undergoing studies to enhance my chances of making the dream realistic.

Although I was able to garner good grades from my studies, the going was not easy at any particular moment, especially given that I am a married man with a family of three children, all of whom look up to me as their source of living. At one point during examinations time, my wife fell sick and had to be admitted in hospital for ten days, leaving the children under my care. Balancing the house chores, studies, as well as dealing with the trauma was very distracting though I still managed to withstand the pressure. I spent time with her in hospital keenly watching how the doctors attended to her, and got the enthusiasm to pursue this course. My greatest competency which will help me serve patients with diligence is the great compassion that I have always had for patients suffering from any sort of illness. Sustaining a full course in Physician Assistant medicine is quite demanding because it is a comparatively expensive venture. However, my strong commitment to ensure that I land this opportunity enabled me to work hard and save quite a substantial chunk of my earnings for the last three years. Additionally, my parents are fully supportive of the idea and have promised to give me a 100 per cent financial sponsorship throughout the training period. In essence, this has eliminated doubts on the prospect of securing a scholarship towards aiding this cause.
