2 Study Design The study design is an integral part of this research. The study anticipates to effectively collect data from the target population objectively to allow a valid conclusive result (Gagnier et al., 2014). In doing so, the current study adopts experiment design in the quest to compare the effectiveness of an intervention for a new medicine for treating patients suffering from a skin condition. The randomization method will be used to assign patients to treatment groups for the study (Trochim, 2017). This approach will allow independent variables (experimental and control group) to be analyzed for skin condition treatment outcome (dependent variable). The design is aimed at evaluating cause and effect for the new drug treatment of the skin condition.

Methods Participants Participants will be randomly selected from patients suffering from a skin condition from a large hospital. Each patient will be assigned a number 1, 2, 3, to n. Using a computer, two-third of the sample patients will be given treatment while a third sampled will receive placebo.

Measures The independent data from both groups will be generated from two factors of treatment response and treatment satisfaction. Procedure

Two participants will be assigned to the experimental group for every subject in the control group in a randomization method. The test period will be six months in which treatment responses will be measured continuously. In instances of severer side effects on particular patients, the treatment will be stopped. Concurrently, data will be consolidated on treatment satisfaction by asking patients their overall satisfaction level with the treatment.

Results Analysis The analyses will be conducted using SPSS software. Data coding and cleansing will be done before commencing analysis. Tests for normality will be run. The study patients are randomly selected from one hospital and may fall short of population representation as patient's diagnoses for concurrent conditions and diseases vary. The study also anticipates a fewer number of patients. Thus affecting the conclusion on whether differences are due to chance or not. However, the study focuses on ensuring the limitations are mitigated for results validity.
