This brings out the spiritual aspects of the scenario. It also indicates that the patient has spiritual concerns or issues that may affect his heal. It is the responsibility of care providers to identify the cultural, spiritual and lifestyle issues that affect their patients while carrying out an assessment. This will help provide a holistic approach to his care and reduce his risk of lifestyle-related health complications (Giger, 2013).

The case required that the provider be both culturally and spiritually sensitive. The factors affect his lifestyle behavior which in turn affects his health (Clifford, McCalman, Bainbridge, & Tsey, 2015). The most problematic lifestyle issue to be addressed is substance abuse.
