During my volunteer work at the Los Olivos Commons Student Canteen in California State University Polytechnic, Pomona, I acquired wealth of experience working in the kitchen and cooperating with the chef. Working with the kitchen staff and the smooth coworking with the chef as my senior helped me demonstrate and strengthen my group work skills and submission. Volunteering in the fast-paced work also strengthened my organizational skills and my ability to manage several tasks simultaneously. During my volunteer work at the Los Olivos Commons Student Canteen, I was given the opportunity to direct kitchen duties for one day every week. This opportunity helped me to demonstrate and develop my potential managerial skills. I am eager to practice the gained experiences in your organization for the benefit of the whole organization.

The courses that I undertook on Medical Nutrition Therapy at California State University Polytechnic, Pomona, reinforced my experience in Medical Nutrition Therapy. Some of my experiences as a student in the area of Medical Nutrition Therapy included case studies on: Alzheimer’s disease and enteral feeding program, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, renal disease, and diabetes. From these case studies, I developed strong analytical skills of reading patient’s medical/nutrition assessment. I gained nutritional skills from these studies and it would be a pleasure to apply these skills and competence in the North Oaks Health System Dietetic Internship program for the good of the organization. I also developed a strong foundation for analyzing and choosing proper enteral feeding or parenteral feeding for patients. My passion for working in the field of Medical Nutrition Therapy is further demonstrated by my action of

creating a black book of Medical Nutrition Therapy as a preparation to dedicate myself in this field.
