2 Hypothesis 2 As part of its mandate, the Department of Homeland Security is often involved in identifying citizens and other people trying to gain entrance into the USA. In this regard, this agency often uses facial recognition technologies and other biometric technologies in the course of its day-to-day operations. However, there are concerns that have been raised regarding the use of citizens’ data as well as potential infringement into their privacy rights.
