June is National Safety Month From AccuFleet’s Safety Guidance for Reduced Exposure against COVID-19, please also practice:
BASIC INFECTION PREVENTION MEASURES As appropriate, all employees should practice good hygiene and infection control practices, including: ❖ Frequent and thorough hand washing. If soap and running water are not immediately available, alcohol-based hand rubs containing at least 60% alcohol shall be used. ❖ Employees are encouraged to stay home if they are sick. ❖ Use respiratory etiquette, including covering coughs and sneezing into the crook of your arm. ❖ Utilize trash receptacles for all discarded personal protection materials. ❖ Where practical, practice social distancing by establishing a 6-foot separation from other people. As always, should you have any questions regarding this topic, best practices or policies, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your supervisor, manager or the HR Department.
How to Observe National Safety Month Get involved! ➢ Hold drills at home to help members of your household know what to do in the event of: • Fire • Tornado • Hurricane Preparedness https://www.cdc.gov/disasters/hurricanes/before.html • Medical event • Another natural disaster ➢ Volunteer to participate in community emergency preparedness events ➢ Put together a first aid kit ➢ Take a CPR class ➢ Teach someone to change a tire properly and safely ➢ Learn about proper storage and disposal of medications ➢ Take a defensive driving course ➢ Learn how to identify fall hazards in a home
Be aware, inspect your tools and report any damaged or frayed wires, no matter how minor it seems.

Opioid and Heroin usage has skyrocketed over the past decade with usage doubling in the past 5 years alone.

Approximately 80 percent of new heroin users are coming to heroin after having abusing prescription opioids. Heroin, on the other hand, has varying purities, adulterants, making it much easier to overdose.

Two out of three drug overdose deaths in 2018 involved an opioid.
•
