-CLIENT SERVICESSeptember & March Birthdays It's time to update! Be on the lookout for your letters. A supporter statement and documentation list will be included. Give us a call to schedule your appointment. Failure to update by the end of September will affect the services you receive from us.

MEET ROBERT FRANK Director of Campus Operations We are excited to welcome our new addition to the ACCT family. His role is to oversee building operations and maintenance of all current and future buildings for ACCT. We hope you will join us in helping Robert feel welcome. Let's show him what ACCT is all about!

-HOUSINGElectric Bill Relief Program ENDING SEPTEMBER 9TH! Clients must submit their entire current electric bill (bill must indicate service address) along with a completed application available in the office. This program is available to all active clients of ACCT. Contact Steve Starkey with any questions pertaining to this program.

CALLING ALL HOME COOKS! We are looking for new friends to help us serve nutritious meals every Thursday for our Clients. The ongoing success of the program is dependent on our community supporters. Volunteers are needed for the following dates: September: 1st & 8th October: 6th & 13th November: 3rd & 10th December: 22nd & 29th

Ranch Beans

Introducing our New Fuel Cards!

1/2 cup onion, diced 1/4 cup green pepper, chopped 1 (16 oz.) can vegetarian beans, partially drained 1 (15 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed 1 tablespoons ketchup 2 tablespoons brown sugar or molasses 1 tablespoon mustard 1 cut ham, chopped Brown onion and green pepper in nonstick cooking spray or in a very small amount of oil in a saucepan. Add remaining ingredients. Heat thoroughly for about 10 minutes. Makes 4 (1 1/2 cup) main dish servings. Variation: Any type of canned beans can be substituted for kidney beans. Try this "dressed up" version of baked beans makes a great side dish. Add chopped ham for a tasty main dish.

To better serve you, ACCT has switched fuel card providers. We appreciate your patience as we go through this transition.

What you need to know: 1 gas card will be issued for core medical appointments outside of Galveston (Appointment slip is required to obtain your fuel card) Each card will contain $15 Fuel Cards may be redeemed at any Walmart store (Murphy Gas Station) or Sam's Club For questions or concerns please contact Darron Miller at 409-763-2437

Saturday, September 3rd, 2022 10am-5pm Come join ACCT as we celebrate Pride in Galveston. Beach Bash at 1923 Boddecker Dr., Galveston, Texas (Also known as Apffel East Beach). Fun educational games and prizes you won't want to miss! Free water will be available (while supplies last).


Full Bellies Full Hearts

January 17 – February 13, 2022, was Galveston’s Annual Restaurant week. Restaurants collected charitable donations to be distributed to local community groups. The focus of the chosen charities is feeding, supporting, and the health of the children and families of our community. This year’s charities were Galveston Urban Ministries, Access Care of Coastal Texas, and St. Vincent’s House which were each awarded $6,360.00! Thanks to Galveston Restaurant Association, and all you island eaters, our clients are enjoying Thursday lunches and events with new tables and chairs!

Spooky Season Is Near What will you be this year? Fly or float, just don't be tardy to ACCT's annual costume party! We have some fun things brewing! This year's costume contest will be one for the books! We can't wait to see what you all have in store for us. Games, Prizes and more! Details to come

Call 409-763-2437 to schedule an appointment. PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) is medicine taken to prevent acquiring HIV. Most insurance plans and Medicaid programs cover the cost of PrEP. If you are uninsured, we can help you get on PrEP for Free/Low Cost.
