Galveston’s Own Farmers Market now (GOFM) offers Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (Senior FMNP) Vouchers at the weekly farmers market! This federal program empowers underprivileged seniors to easily get fresh fruits, vegetables, honey, and herbs that are grown nearby and encourage more people to buy and use local agricultural products by supporting farmers' markets.
Patrons must be 60 years and older and fall under specific Income Guidelines These vouchers are FREE and do not affect any other benefits; the Senior FMNP are in addition to existing benefits.
Senior FMNP voucher booklets are given out at GOFM. In Galveston County, the only participating Senior FMNP market is Galveston's Own Farmers' Market
