BOTANICAL GARDENS
Here are the Botanical Gardens from where the wild orchid has disappeared. In the greenhouses, rare flowers and plants are grown Greenery generates oxygen, which is important for our wellbeing!
We all have a duty to respect plants! But someone dared to steal the orchid. Search the greenhouses carefully: looking through your magnifying glass, you can see all kinds of clues. Maybe the culprit left some sign of their passage?
OCEANARIUM
The thief left their handprints! Looking closely we discover that the thief has 5 fingers. So we have to rule out the suspects who don’t have 5 fingers, right?
We are in the Oceanarium: a huge aquarium where visitors can admire all kinds of fish swimming in large glass tanks
We must get to know animals and respect them: we can learn a lot from them!
See if you happen to spot anything… out of place. The thief walked through here and may have dropped another clue!
NATURAL SCIENCE MUSEUM
A brush! If the thief lost it, we can gather important information from it: the criminal is furry. Otherwise what would they need the brush for? Among the suspects, who is hairless? Those who are hairless don’t carry a brush with them and should be taken off the list..
Welcome to the Natural Science Museum, where visitors can get a close-up view of huge dinosaur skeletons and reconstructions of planets. Knowing the world is essential to understand it better! Check if the culprit has lost an item, or has left some tracks here.
SHOPPING MALL
A bow tie! Or maybe it’s a ribbon? The thief must be the refined type who loves elegance and takes care of their appearance. Who among the suspects would never wear a ribbon or a bow tie? Let’s rule those out. Maybe the thief wanted to go shopping…
Here is the shopping mall. So many shops, so many things! Hundreds of types of shoes, bags, clothes...isn’t that too much? It’s better if we buy fewer items and use them for longer! Maybe the thief, taken by the rush of shopping, has lost something??
The thief has lost their glasses! They left them near the escalator. So they probably can’t see very well. We need to write off the list those who do not need glasses
Not too far away, we find the Luna Park: it is beautiful, full of colorful bunting and light bulbs… But let’s be careful: we should never waste electricity, better turn off the lights that are not needed! The culprit can’t be far away! They must have passed through here; maybe they have left more clues?
JAM FACTORY
Great job: the thief lost their pocket watch in one of the amusement park tents. If the thief is wearing a watch, they are probably punctual, right? We have to rule out those who are not, then. We are now at the jam factory
The workers turn the fruit into jars of jam. Then they pack them into big cartons to send them to the shops. But sometimes someone spills the jars or even whole tanks of fruit: what a mess! Food is precious and should never be wasted! Use your glass to check if you can find any new clues…
Evidence! The thief has left footprints… And they are quite big!! What shoe size do they wear? We’ll have to rule out those with very small feet
Not far from the factory is the city park.
How nice to play sports in the open air!
Walking or using the bicycle instead of the car is good for both our health and the environment! Search the park carefully: maybe you’ll discover a new piece of information about the culprit!
HARBOR
The thief climbed a very tall tree, breaking a few branches… We see their tracks at the base of the tree and then on the roof of a tall building alongside it. The thief must be a good climber. So let’s exclude from the suspects those who are not!
We are at the harbor. Here ships are loaded with huge containers. You have to be careful not to pollute the water! Very often, the water at the harbor is not that clean… The thief can’t be far away! Use your lens to discover the last clue and to catch them!
The thief has passed through a narrow trap door! They must be thin and slender. Let’s see…
• They have 5 fingers, so it can’t be Sourge Frog, who has only three.
• They are furry, so it can’t be Lady Toad either, as toads have no hair.
• They are elegant, so it can’t be Lea Blackhand, who always looks scruffy.
• They wear glasses, so it can’t be Lightning Lucy, who can see very well.
• They love watches, so we can rule out Shrewd Fox.
• They have big feet: it can’t be Tiger Finger, who has tiny feet.
• They can climb high, so it can’t be Bulb Bob, who’s afraid of heights.
• They are slender, so we can rule out Mary Monkey
SO IT MUST BE…
YOU GOT ME, SHERL DOG! WELL, I CONFESS…
I was the one who stole the orchid. I wanted it so I could become rich, but thanks to you the orchid will return to the hands of Professor Botanik, who will give it to the world… Damn! I could have become a millionaire! The orchid is precious: it can oxygenate the air that we all breathe!
“Yes, and now you will breathe the air of a prison! You are under arrest!”
It feels so good to handcuff the treacherous Tak Rotcod*! Professor Botanik is so happy to get the orchid back to complete his studies, and clean up the air in cities around the world. All’s well that ends well, but remember: even if the orchid is safe, each one of us must do their part to save the planet! Each page contains an environmentally-friendly tip. Did you find them all?
* Don’t understand who the thief is? Try reading the name backwards!
