Enjoy the summer!

Welcome to the analogue future.

Dear Friends and Business Partners,

In a world that is becoming faster, more digital, and increasingly fleeting, we believe in the opposite: in what lasts, what is tangible, what is real. In things you can touch, feel, and even smell. Books, calendars, stationery – crafted with attention to detail, with typographic sensitivity, with thoughtful content and beautiful ideas.

We call this an analog lifestyle. Together with our authors, artists, and designers, we develop products that are not only visually appealing but also emotionally moving –in the best possible way. Every project is a matter of the heart for us.

This preview once again contains everything we love: beautiful books, cleverly designed calendars, and original stationery – made with heart, mind, and a deep love for detail. We are delighted to present many new titles to you – including bestsellers in new editions, surprisingly fresh ideas, and exciting debuts such as two new additions to our successful vinyl series:“The Art of Reggae Covers” and “The Art of Punk Covers”.

We hope you have as much fun discovering them as we have making them.

Yours sincerely, Oliver Seltmann and the entire team at Seltmann Publishers

The essentials are visible, you just have to look closely. This book is dedicated to the inner encounter.

In this high-quality, large-format art book, the quiet and fascinating world of meditation unfolds across more than 300 pages. How does an inner journey begin to take shape, ultimately manifesting as a silent message?

In his photographic homage to the beauty and power of meditative practice, Axel Kirchhoff offers a simple answer: by truly seeing. This mindful pause also serves as the starting point for encounters with 66 individuals who each reveal their inner processes in very different ways.

author

Axel Kirchhoff, born in 1968 in Munich, grew up in Stuttgart and the United States. After training as a dancer and gaining initial experience in photography, he worked in various creative professions, including as an artistic blacksmith. In 2011, he completed a photography degree at the School of Design in St. Gallen. Since 2014, he has been working as a freelance photographer, bringing his diverse experience in art, industry, and culture to sophisticated photographic productions.

SILENT PORTRAITS brings together striking black-and-white photographs with personal texts – a quiet yet vibrant collection of portraits and quotations that make visible the many individual paths and experiences of inner work.

The book is complemented by conversations with renowned neuroscientist and author Dr. Ulrich Ott (Bender Institute of Neuroimaging, Giessen), who explores the effects of mental training from a scientific perspective.

365 New Daily Drawings. For everyone who loves ironic observations with a touch of philosophy.

Joni Marriott loves to depict complicated and abstract content as clearly as possible, drawing in analogue and ink in the tradition of ligne claire. For anyone who likes clever, poetic and humorously disturbing drawings, this "Daily Drawings" calendar is a wonderful companion throughout the year.

father brings children's drawings to life - and inspires an audience of millions on Instagram.

In this lovingly designed memo game, the aim is to find the matching ‘real’ creature for each child's drawing.

It all started with Dom, who was six years old at the time. Like many children, he drew whatever fascinated him: animals, boats, cars and people. His father Tom had an ingenious idea - he used Photoshop to transform the drawings into realistic-looking, often bizarre creatures.

What began as a small family project became a worldwide phenomenon: Things I Have Drawn now has over 900,000 followers worldwide.

Now, for the first time, there is a memo game that brings this imaginative world to life in a playful way - for children, parents and anyone who wants to be amazed.

About the author
Tom Curtis is a creative director in the advertising industry and father of two sons, Dom and Al. He lives in Buckinghamshire in the UK with his wife, the two boys and their rabbit Hazel (who features in the game).

Famous. Important. Died early. A tear-off calendar about geniuses, icons and heroes. 365 biographies between fame, genius and a life that was far too short.

Philipp Behrends is a sales expert with international experience and a flair for good stories. After working for Lufthansa and on six continents, he now contributes his ideas to creative projects - as the creator of the calendar with a great deal of entrepreneurial energy.

Every day of the year, the tear-off calendar tells the inspiring life story of an icon who died too young. Whether James Dean, Joan of Arc or Friedrich Schiller - the sudden demise of these heroes shocks posterity.

The protagonists are pioneers in their field, true geniuses, courageous inventors, celebrated stars, fallen heroes, brave fighters, impoverished thinkers, extraordinary sports stars and exceptional musical talents. An illustrious circle of true legends who achieve great things at a young age and push the boundaries of their time.

Good stories are sometimes not without a certain tragedy. And what could be more tragic than an untimely death? This entertaining daily calendar plays with the fascination for tragic, sometimes ludicrous deaths.

Eleonore Behrends is an editor and copywriter with a talent for organisation and a love of the written word. She accompanies book projects from the idea to publication - structured, creative and with a keen sense of language and design.

Julia Henningsen is a communications strategist with a sense for language, clarity and connection. She makes complex content accessible and develops concepts that bring people and topics together effectively - between Berlin, Frankfurt and everywhere in between.

blooming calendar. Each calendar page is a small work of art.

‘If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.’

- Marcus Stullius Cicero

The diversity of the many flamboyant images reveals rarely noticed details full of ‘architectural’ sophistication and filigree splendour.

Flamboyant Flowers is no ordinary 365-day tear-off calendar. Inspired by pioneers such as Karl Blossfeldt, the ‘snowflakes’ photographer Wilson Bentley, the Japanese floral artist Makota Azuma and Andy Wahrhol, the calendar is based on over 10,000 photographs of flowers, most of which were cultivated by the artist himself.

Mériel was born in Helsinki and grew up in Sweden, Germany and France. He studied computational linguistics at and graduated with a Master of Arts in European Media from at the University of Manchester.

In 2014, he founded the Flamboyant Flowers project, which includes an (anti-)app, the AI art project GAN's & ROSES (in cooperation with SOL by Birds on Mars from Berlin) and the daily publication of a digital flower on Instagram.

Flamboyant Flowers reminds us that floral beauty is above all something natural, but also transient.

One hundred photos of well-known and little-known places in Berlin. Always unpopulated for sending in postcard format.

About the photographer

Sarah Eick, born in 1974, studied art history, philosophy and applied cultural studies in Münster and initially devoted herself to painting. She has lived and worked as a photographer in Berlin since 2000. Her works have been exhibited in museums in Berlin and the USA.

Whether Fehrbelliner Platz, Kino International, the water circulation tank at the zoo, the Charité tower block, the Alte Kongresshalle or Teufelsberg. There are plenty of iconographic images from Berlin and they come in a variety of colours.

Sarah Eick achieves a great feat that even native Berliners who have seen many photographs of their hometown will still marvel at: her photos undoubtedly depict Berlin motifs, but at the same time they are works of a great, translocal, abstract poetic quality.

In love with Mexico City. Following the great success of the Berlin series, Sarah Zak is publishing her second photo book with analogue portraits and nudes.

About the photographer

Born in Germany, she started her career as a hairstylist and make-up artist before discovering the world of analogue photography in 2016.

From the very beginning, her main theme was clear: beautiful women. With passion and a love of travelling, she found women from all over the world who were willing to show themselves in front of her camera. What began as a hobby slowly developed into a larger vision.

Today, Sarah focuses primarily on her project sarahlikesprettygirls. In addition to her publications on social media, with a wide reach and high profile, she now also works with galleries and other artists around the world.

In a male-dominated world of nude photography, Sarah Zak's work breaks down stereotypes and creates a space for the unique beauty and power of women.

After her successful first photo book ‘sarahlikesprettygirls in Berlin’, she chose Mexico City as the setting for the second volume. The city fascinated her with its colours, energy, history and architecture. There she met and portrayed numerous women - locals and travellers alike. Each photo was captured on 35 mm film, creating an ‘analogue imperfection’ that, in addition to the natural aesthetic, also creates a special closeness to the women photographed.

The greatest collection of skateboard decks from five decades in one book. Long sold out, the skateboard bible is finally available exclusively for the German market.

This book, now in its 10th edition, has truly become the ‘bible’ of skateboard decks from before the turn of the millennium. The author guides readers through the culture, art and madness of the skateboarding world with a wealth of knowledge and experience. While the skateboards take centre stage, exciting stories and memories from well-known skateboarding personalities such as Tony Hawk, Mike Vallely, Mark Gonzales and Stacy Peralta provide additional context.

The skateboards in ‘The Disposable Skateboard Bible’ are organised by decade: from the 1960s, when the first deck designs emerged; through the 1970s with the groundbreaking introduction of urethane wheels; the 1980s with its ups and downs, big decks and the mass market; to the graphic chaos of the 1990s and the start of the new millennium.

Nice To Ski You. Discover the world of the most beautiful ski resorts!

Skiing connects people. Based on this motto, graphic designer Peter Erlach had an idea in 2022: a quartet (and mini travel guide) that presents 32 legendary ski resorts and pistes, accompanied by the most important facts and figures.

The selection of 32 ski resorts is based both on the personal memories of the author, who grew up skiing in Austria, and on the destinations that are still on his wish list. Each ski resort is presented on a map with an informative photo and all the important key data. This makes it easy to discover 32 of the most beautiful and spectacular ski resorts.

There is also an accompanying booklet that goes into even more detail about the resorts. Special attention is also paid to the quality of the photos. All photographers are listed with their name and website, so you can discover even more impressive winter sports photographs.

Peter Erlach is an Austrian marketing manager, copywriter, photography enthusiast and former ski instructor who channels his passion for winter sports into creative projects. These include his website nicetoskiyou.com, founded in 2018, as well as his latest work, the ‘NICE TO SKI YOU Quartet & Travel Guide - 32 legendary ski runs and resorts in the world’. More coming soon.
