Foreword

In 2010, with a foreword by Daniel Hechter, an icon of Saint-Tropez, fashion and design, interior design firm Alessandra Home Interiors published “Saint-Tropez, Timeless & Contemporary”, showcasing its works on the world’s most renowned peninsula, sharing a way of life, the fusion of authenticity, modernity and chic, and the essence of luxury.

The firm was founded by Sandra Cerfontaine, a Belgian interior designer who divides her time between Brussels and Saint-Tropez. This year sees the firm celebrate its 15 years of existence. It has been behind a host of projects in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, as well as London, Paris, Ibiza and Brussels, and established a style blending Northern lines and Southern light, the authentic and the contemporary. The charm of Saint-Tropez lies in this subtle magic encompassing timeless landscapes, a way of life and a fishing village with eyes open to the world.

“It’s true, I forgot to tell you that the sea limits, continues on, prolongs, ennobles and enchants this piece of land with a luminous coastline, the sea which, depending on the time, is tinged by and suffers under the star that soars at dawn, from a cold, blue East, only to perish in the evening in a haze of long, wispy clouds in furious pink”, writes Colette in “Prisons et paradis”, drawing inspiration from days spent in her home, the Treille muscate, along the route des salins.

This book invites us into the most recent projects carried out by Alessandra Interiors, giving us an opportunity to explore the intimate, secret side of the Golf of Saint-Tropez.

The homes are a reflection of their owners. Each one creates a world, an expectation and a dream. They are all stylish, comfortable and harmonious. Designed down to the finest detail, they are perfect for both summer and a winter weekend, using strong, clean, purposeful lines and solid materials. Sandra Cerfontaine leaves her distinct brand of luxury in her works.

En 2010, préfacé par Daniel Hechter, une des figures marquantes de Saint Tropez, de la mode et du design, le bureau d’architecture d’intérieur « Alessandra Home Interiors » publiait « Saint-Tropez, Timeless & Contemporary », présentant ses réalisations sur la presqu’île la plus célèbre au monde, partageant un art de vivre, le mariage de l’authenticité, de la modernité et du chic, les codes du luxe.

Fondé par Sandra Cerfontaine, architecte d’intérieur belge qui se partage entre Bruxelles et Saint-Tropez, le bureau fête cette année ses quinze ans d’existence. Il a signé de très nombreux projets dans le Golfe de Saint-Tropez, mais aussi à Londres, Paris, Ibiza ou Bruxelles, installé un style qui marrie les lignes du Nord et la lumière du Sud, l’authentique et le contemporain. Le charme de Saint-Tropez, c’est cette magie fragile entre des paysages intemporels, un art de vivre et un village de pêcheurs ouvert sur le monde. « J’oubliais, c’est vrai, de vous dire que la mer limite, continue, prolonge, ennoblit, enchante cette parcelle d’un lumineux rivage, la mer que colore et pâtit, selon l’heure, l’astre qui s’élance à l’aube, d’un Est froid et bleu, pour périr le soir dans une écume de nues longues et légères d’un rose furieux », écrira Colette dans Prisons et paradis, plongeant son inspiration dans ses séjours dans sa maison la Treille muscate sur la route des salins.

Ce livre nous ouvre les portes des projets les plus récents réalisés par Alessandra Interiors, nous fait découvrir le visage intime et secret du Golfe de Saint-Tropez.

Ces maisons sont à l’image de leurs propriétaires. Chacune installe un univers, une attente, un rêve. Tous sont élégantes, confortables, harmonieuses. Pensées jusque dans le moindre détail, elles sont conçues pour l’été mais aussi un week-end d’hiver, privilégie des lignes fortes, simples, efficaces, matériaux nobles. Sandra Cerfontaine installe ses codes du luxe dans ses réalisations.

Restored by architect Michel Lefebvre, the interior plans were entrusted to Alessandra Home Interiors which chose the materials and colour blends.

Its authenticity was respected, as was its owners’ wish to transform it into a both sophisticated and warm villa.

VILLA “K" « Il a fallu, pour la trouver, que je me détachasse du petit port méditerranéen, des thoniers, des maisons plates, peintes, rose bonbon fané, bleu lavande, vert thilleul, des rues où flotte l’odeur du melon éventré, du nougat et des oursins » Colette C’est une ancienne ferme proche de la plage des Salins et des Canoubiers.

Restaurée par l’architecte Michel Lefebvre, les plans d’intérieur ont été confiées à Alessandra Home Interiors qui a choisi les matériaux et les harmonies de couleurs.

En respecter l’authenticité, tout en répondant au souhait de ses propriétaires d’en faire une villa à la fois sophistiquée et chaleureuse.
