The heart of the Mediterranean kitchen

Simona El-Harar

More than 80 delightful recipes

Heavenly creations, inspired by age old traditions from the Middle East and the Mediterranean

Subtle and delicious flavours

There is no such thing as one strictly Israeli cuisine. Israeli cuisine is a subtle blend of cultures and styles. The tastes of the Middle East and North Africa are complemented by subtle culinary influences from the rest of the Mediterranean, including France, Spain, Greece and Italy.

Dinner with Simona presents a delightful selection of recipes from her family, friends and of course her own children. This book is just like her: warm, cheerful, lively and colourful.

The chef allows us to taste her famous hummus, salsa with roasted sesame and mint, shakshuka, burek with feta and spinach, fish kofta, simmered beans with lemon, biscuits with polenta and lime, Dudu salad, stuffed aubergine rolls... and many others dishes. In other words, a whole range of colourful dishes that’ll please both vegetarians and “carnivores" alike.
