ICONS OF EXCELLENCE

THE LEGACY OF

Enzo Ferrari

“All factories are made of machines, walls, and people. I believe Ferrari is made of people first and foremost.”

This was Enzo Ferrari’s vision.

The imaginative power, determination, and passion that allowed Enzo Ferrari to build Ferrari forever transformed the city of Modena and the destinies of his fellow Italians for generations to come. The Ferrari brand is more than just a symbol of luxury and speed—it is a stunning example of the excellence of Italian industry in the world. Starting almost from nothing, Enzo Ferrari created a brand that represents not just a product but a clear vision

for the future and a passion for motorsports, competition, and innovation.

To trace the early origins of Enzo’s passion for racing and the automotive industry, we must travel back to Bologna, in 1908, when Enzo’s father, Alfredo Ferrari, took him and his brother to watch the Coppa Florio. The car race, in its third edition, was held for the first time in Bologna, just a short distance from Modena. Here, amid the roar of engines and the dust of racing cars on the dirt roads of Bologna, a spark ignited.

After a complete recovery, his return to the races in 1927 was a fiery one. He came in first at the Circuito di Alessandria, inaugurating a season of victories throughout 1927 and 1928.

The year 1929 was crucial for Enzo, as it was the year he founded Scuderia Ferrari. At first, the company was not Ferrari as we know it today; rather, it was a workshop that provided mechanical and technical assistance to Alfa Romeo cars. While the Ferrari brand itself would not be officially founded until March 12, 1947, Scuderia Ferrari, the Ferrari racing team, remains the main division of Ferrari’s racing department to this day.

“One day, I will no longer be here. I hope that the red cars bearing my name will continue to exist even after I’m gone, and will bring honor to themselves on all the world’s circuits.”

This was Enzo Ferrari—a visionary whose legacy does not rest on a few sportscars, a victory, or a factory, but rather on a dream, carried forward with a clear-sighted gaze, confidence, and an entrepreneurial, innovative spirit that still defines the city of Modena, its factories, and its workers.

Ferrari LaFerrari

A modern classic, the Ferrari LaFerrari has surged dramatically in value since its 2016 launch.

Its limited production, hybrid V12 powertrain, and technological sophistication have made it one of the most desirable Ferraris of the 21st century. The LaFerrari Aperta, sold privately to selected customers, now reaches auction prices near $5 million.

The highest recorded sale occurred in 2016 when the 500th LaFerrari was auctioned for €7 million to support earthquake relief efforts in central Italy.

Ferrari Testarossa

With 7,177 units produced, the Testarossa was comparatively accessible during its era. Yet it has become one of Ferrari’s most iconic models, thanks to its distinctive 1980s styling, flat-12 engine, and appearances in cultural classics like “Miami Vice”. Its nostalgic appeal and unmistakable silhouette make it a must-have for collectors.

The legend of Ferrari

For more than seven decades, Ferrari has stood as the ultimate expression of speed, beauty, and emotion. Born on the racetrack in 1947, the marque has evolved into a global icon—without ever compromising the passion at its core.
